the owner seems to want the ngf to be an international hotel - but he has not shared his image with the staff, does not live there himself, and has a long way to go. do not accept a room on the fourth floor! the showers don't work! hotels in yangon are not cheap or plentiful at the 3* range, but you can proble find better. however the staff were excellent and helpful, breakfast was good and the north entrance to the schwedagon was only a 15 minute walk away.

Nice location/staff,but very overpriced services”
Nice location and friendly staff, good breakfast. But any add in services like water in the room or taxis booked by hotel ridiculously overpriced eg wanted 8000 for taxi to airport, and I paid 5000 stopping taxi outside myself. A few similar examples. There are better places in Yangon for sand price. Staff very friendly though - like everyone in Myanmar. Thanks!

Affordable accomdation”
The air conditioning is super strong. Beds are comfortable. Toilet was a bit old even though it is quite a new hotel. For it is not built too long ago, many taxi drivers do not know the location. WiFi is stable and staffs were helpful and friendly.

Wonderful. It is located at the central of tourists attractions. Hotel food is good and at reasonable price. Staff are polite. Staff can converse in English.

OK for a 'hotel'”
The hotel looked fantastic at first glance. very clean in the dining area and reception. Then you get to your room and it starts looking dirty. The bedsheets were a bit dirty and the bathroom had what looked like rat poo in it. Tons on flies ants and spiders in the room. When it was cleaned they either didnt clean it or missed a lot. We only had toilet paper once in 4 days. The staff that work on reception are very ignorant, don't speak any english and dont even want to talk or help you. If you ask them a basic question they turn to the male staff (restaurant staff and room staff) to sort it out. Like I asked them for a taxi and they had no idea until the restaurant staff came over and got us one. I wouldn't stay here again. The only good thing about it was the cold rice and eggs for breakfast and that it was walking distance to the swedagon pagoda.

nightmarish stay in hotel”
the room's sound proofing is horrible. you can practically hear people's footstep, when they were walking along the corridor. the air-conditioning was "spitting" out ice and water. the air condition was making loud noise between 2am to 4am. it was so loud that it sounded as if it's gonna explode anytime! the service provided were not prompt. when i inform them about the air con's condition, they didn't offer other rooms or give any advices. until my girlfriend and myself went to the counter to make a complaint to the manager and requested for the change, then they made the change. i was transferred. i was very pleased initially as the air condition was not like the one in room. however, i could hear footsteps and the bed creaking coming from. the bathroom size was pretty small. once i am in the bathroom, i could only close the door when i am near the toilet bowl. i could not close the door properly too. when i was, i remembered making sure that the door was securely closed before leaving for breakfast. however, when my girlfriend and i returned to the room after breakfast, to my horror of horror, the door was open agar! how can this happen? i didn't even display any signs or requested for any room service or whatsoever! i made a complaint to the manager and he said he would investigate. however, after waiting for an answer for about a week, there wasn't any reply. the breakfast for the hotel is a joke. in a 1-2 star hotel, i was able to eat whatever amount i want. however, for this, i would need to pay for extra portion.

Great Staff!”
Our stay was really good! The staff was nice and helpful, the food was great, a great japanese and burmese/chinese restaurant near by. You should definitely go at the 7th floor and go upstairs, on the roof. The view is amazing at night, especially with the Shwedagon Pagoda!

Low quality but good location (Near Shwedagon)”
- Difficult to find the hotel, it can't walk direct through the hotel via google map application or other application due to the location that show in application didn't match with real place. - The hotel is dirty. It have smell like cigarette in the room. - Good breakfast. - Staff can speak English and good service. - The hotel is a good location, it can walk to Shwedagon around 10 mins.

Need to improve the cleanliness ”
Overall the hotel is good and value for money. Strategic location, easy to get local food and taxi, Hotel staff is friendly but the cleaning skill need to improve much more. Imagine the wardrobe is full of dust, toilet is not clean. That's really awful.

the hotel management is very poor. take half day to photo copy the passports and the rooms are not yet ready when checking in, even the rooms are booked 10 days advanced.nothing good except the location is not bad.

The staff was good & they helped in early check in. And this is quite a good location (just 5 mins to Shwedagon) to start Yangoon tour with a Heavenly experience of Shwedagon. However the Bathrooms & cleanliness was not up to standard in the room that we got.

Comfortable. But I wish that their tv has more channels. They only have 2 or 3 but no english channels. They need to have staff who speak good english. And they need to respond to emails.

Location is far from Center. Staff is helpless as they could not speak English very well. There are so much mosquito in the room. We have booked 2 nights but we could not sleep at all and have to move to another hotel
