Where to stay in Newington
Newington hotels & accommodations

We stayed only one night in the Hotel, but we were extremely satisfied! We wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was super kind, and helped us in everything that we asked for! We lost our pushchair on the flight and they provided another one for us, that in the end we could take with us as we had to travel further. The room was a bit small for us, though we were ...

We had one of the garden level rooms and it was quiet, fairly spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The wifi was the best we had in our two weeks traveling around Scotland and we appreciated the bit of sherry left in the room for the guests. We were tired on arrival and decided to have dinner at the hotel our first night which was not only surprisingly good, but at ext...

We were very happy with our stay. Room was very clean. Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop directly infront of the guest house. Walking distance into city centre around 25-35min. Bus around 10-15min. The only thing we think that could be improved is to offer breakfast. But we knew that this wasn't included in the stay. Supermarkets and Cafes i...

Clean room, towels provide, shared toilet and bathroom with shower also clean. Kitchen to share also great, though only one small dining table is a bit cramped. My room overlooked road so had to keep window closed to reduce noise from traffic but not unbearable. Good value for Festival accomodation. Access to buses into city and other festival venues is easy. Walk alon...

An excellent stay. We stayed for a week and had a great visit. Rhona and her staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Facilities were brilliant: lovely room, comfortable bed, clean, great bathroom and big shower. Breakfast was cooked fresh and there was a big selection to choose from including french toast, omlettes, salmon, croissonts and more! Can'...

The room was comfortable but the TV didn’t work, nor could I turn on the heater. I did not ask for help from staff, so it is probably my fault. The shower is tiny. It’s so humid the towels didn’t dry overnight. That’s where the heater would have been nice. The breakfast was serviceable but convenient. Small cafe and Tesco Express are only a block and a half away....

Lovely clean room and very clean bathroom. Tea/ coffee making facilities with excellent WiFi throughout. In a good location - lots of restaurants and takeaways in the area. 15 minutes walk from Holyrood Park and 40 minutes walk from Princes street. Highly recommended, would stay again.

wonderful stay for 2 nights. very impressed by the spread of breakfast and the personal service provided by the owner. he could remember exactly what you had ordered the day before and offer you the same thing the next day. the only drawback is the guest house has no elevator; as such, we have to carry our pushchair to the third floor.

This B&B was very nice. Very clean, with a great breakfast with lots of variety, meals cooked to order, and a nicely appointed room. It is 2 miles from the center of town, but that was a positive for me. That was a 30-minute walk, which I enjoyed. It is very professionally run, with friendly staff, and it was very reasonably priced.

We stayed 2 nights in this guesthouse. Really lovely decoration during Christmas period. Scottish traditional style. The owner are so friendly and helpful, last day we had to check out before the breakfast time and they offered to make sandwiches for us , so that we can eat something in the bus. 20mins walk to city center or 5mins in the bus, every bus goes to city cen...

My wife and I are a middle-aged couple from South Yorkshire, UK. We stayed at the Alba Hills from a Friday to Sunday late in June. We were given a brilliant welcome by the host who went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, down to providing a printout of the buses from Alba Hills to the city centre - as we had arrived by train. The waitress who served us was ve...

Everything here is excellent! I love how the hosts treat the guests. Breakfast is always superb. The room that we stayed in were very spacious and clean. The only setback is that it is quite far from the center of the city. Although it is quite near from Arthur's Seat. I'll sure wish I could stay again here.

The distance between the railway station and the guesthouse is fine, it takes 30 mins on foot. The guesthouse is clean and tidy. The room is big and comfortable. The shared washroom is warm and clean. Travelers who lived in the guesthouse are polite and kind. The host provides clear instructions about how to get into the guesthouse if you have a late check in. There a...

Really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh at the blossom, it's well run with friendly staff, good quality breakfast, help with local knowledge on how to get around and extremely close to the main attractions. I highly recommend it to any travellers going for a short or extended stay. Only small improvement required would be to the wifi stability. Thanks for the hassle free ...

The hotel was clean and since we need to accompany our daughter who stays in Pollock during winter holiday, this was the most convenient hotel for is due to the very close distance to her room. the staffs were all helpful and friendly and we got a great service and time there. Thank you
