Exceptional”
Contrary to other reviews, this hotel is very clean and spacious! We had a queen and single bed for us as a couple. The staff helps to keep ur key, and it's 24hrs reception. There are nice sushi places around the hotel! Down side is the location. long walk to tenjin. it is near akansaka station.

An average experience”
Good points; large room, good room amenities, handy for Akasaka subway, Hori Park and 20 minute walk to Tenjin area for Nishitetsu terminus and eateries, breakfast adequate. Bad points; very small unit bathroom, eratic cleaning, lumpy soft bed. Also the hotel is in 2 parts, an inner hotel and an outer annex with metal stairs and walkways, nearer the road so a little noisier.

Good for solo travels, not for family. ”
Staff was super nice, but facilities are quite old and the rooms and bathroom were super small. For someone who is 5'1 and petite frame... I crashed into the wall multiple times in the shower.

Old hotel”
You can tell this hotel is old. It did not have decent window blinds, the fridge made so much noise I had to turn it off at night, you could hear whenever the neighbors used their room and there was a lot of mold/black goo if you looked in corners. Internet was slow. Even at it's relatively cheap price, I can not recommend it. There are newly renovated hotels for about the same price. Breakfast was included in the booking for only 100 yen more at the time of writing. Staff was up to standard.

Great hotel with very helpful staffs”
I booked this hotel for my family for one night as they arrived in Fukuoka one day earlier than me. Due to some reasons, we couldn't book a rental car for our trip in kyushu until we arrived in Fukuoka. My family was lucky enough to meet the wife of the hotel chain's boss. I heard that they have hotels in other cities as well. The boss' wife was very helpful and was able to help us book a car after making a few phone calls. My family and I are very grateful to her kind assistance. As we have 3 elderly family members traveling with us, it would be difficult to travel around kyushu without a car in winter.

2nd time in Nissei Hotel”
Mari Watabe one of the staff was kind enough to provide us the direction around Fukuoka. Lawson and 7/11 nearby. Maizuru Park & Fukuoka Castle is 950 meters from the hotel. Ohori park is 15 minutes from the hotel.

Nice little hotel in a quiet neighborhood”
Nissei Hotel is about 5 mins away from the chic Daimyo area, and 10 mins from Tenjin (walking). It is only 1km from Tenjin, or 1 subway stop away. Easy to access via bus or subway. Beside the park. Tiny bathroom. Simple and repetitive breakfast.

Affordable and Convenient”
A very nice budget hotel where you can relax during winter. Not luxurious but convenient (even if the bathroom inside our room is small). It's near Maizuru Park, Ohori Park & Fukuoka Castle Ruins, and NHK. It's also easy to find (near bus stations and Kuko Line subway), plus receptionists are very accommodating. Five stars for WIFI connection, and room & water heater. Cheers!

Close to train station , very accommodating front desk staff .”
We arrived earlier than the check in time . We were a group of 10 with reservations for 5 twin rooms , This was around 10:25 AM , the front desk staff were very accommodating , they gave us 2 rooms good for the first 4 persons in our group for early check in which allowed us to temporarily deposit our luggages into the 2 rooms . This allowed us to start our tour of the city tourist sites and shopping areas . After our long tour around the city we check in in early evening without any hitches . Hotel is good for value for mo eye with simple contiental breakfast included . Thumbs up for this hotel .

No big problems”
Hotel isn't completely straightforward to find using Google maps - it's on Showa dori, and used to be called the Valie Hotel (or something very similar). I think I was lucky to get a room of quite generous size - bathroom was small but functional as expected. The continential breakfast would have benefited from more variety, but it was convenient to have it included with the room in my case. Reqested a non-smoking room, which did say 'no smoking' inside the room - unfortunately it smelt of smoke, and I spend some time trying to maximise airflow as a result of this. Slightly aged decor didn't bother me at all. No problems with wifi. I'm happy with my decision to stay there.

Comfortable stay”
Given the price, it may be hard to find fault with the hotel. Basic needs for the reasonable accommodation was met for me. The hotel staff seems to know what the hospitality industry is. Thank you.

Hotel with unlimited boiled eggs”
Practically speaking the staff and the location of the hotel is OK. The only problem is the breakfast offered by the hotel, unlimited boiled eggs, 3 kinds of bread, coffee, milk and juice. No more, no less! For almost 6 days we stayed in this hotel, these were the food we ate for breakfast. We felt we got high cholesterol after our vacation because of the eggs we ate everyday. No variation. We didn't eat anymore in the last day. The room is ok also, only that the comfort room is soooo small. The staff can speak English so i didn't find difficulty to communicate with them.

Clean big double bed rooms ,simple breakfast included in room rate . ”
The double room is big as compared with most hotel rooms in Japan . A simple continental breakfast is included in the room rate . The nearest train station is very near to the main Hakata train station .

Smallest bathroom/toilet and dirtiest room”
Of 15 cities big and small we visited since 1st October, room in Nissei is not properly cleaned. One can rub off layers of dust/dirt from bed headboard, tv frames, window sills. On the 3rd day, my wife lost her set of Oral-B tooth brush, tooth paste, tongue scrapper, apparently disposed of by the chambermaid. The toilet cum bathroom is the tiniest even by Japanese standard, very inconvenient to use. Be prepared if you are looking for bargain rates they offer.

Convenient location”
Hotel is convenient, short walking distance from Akasaka Station. But access to the room is not convenient. Stayed in a triple room. Room is not on the lift level. Had to climb up or down some stairs after taking the lift. Bathroom is clean but very small.
