Lovely hotel and staff...food...fails”

We chose Oattara Thiri Hotel as a peaceful escape from Thingyan in Yangon. It is quite far from everything and public transport doesn't exist. So, we were limited to the hotel dining fare which was pretty boring. Breakfasts were fine, nothing special. We tried the dining room for dinner the first night and ordered western entres. It took almost an hour to be served and we were the only ones in the dining room. The steak was ordered rare and came well done, the veggies were not warm but the French fries were very good. We left our plates and returned to our room without dinner, fortunately we ate a big breakfast and brought snacks. We didn't try dinner the next night but the following we tried again. The meal was good but again it took 50 minutes before our food arrived....again there were only 2 tables of guests in the dining room. The pool is beautiful and sparkling clean. But no spa or salon. Overall it is a beautiful hotel, well priced but if you don't have your own transportation you are quite limited.. If you ask for a taxi be prepared for very high prices.

Extremely attentive and service minded staff”

From the minute I arrived, I was met by genuinly welcoming staff with a sincere concern for all my needs. I received rapid and thorough assistance with various travel and shopping requirements, and even extensive personal attention from the very knowledgeable and friendly hotel manager. The facilities are good without being 5 star, but the level of service merits 5+. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Great NEW Hotel with Fantastic Staff!”

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was at my own private residence. Entire staff had smiles on their faces and were happy to answer any questions, assist in any planning, and really made this stay memorable even if it was for business trip. Great breakfast with a really friendly staff who aims to please you the moment you walk in. The restaurant staff manager is super friendly and kind, and has trained his staff to be very attentive and considerate of their guest'a needs. I never had to ask twice for anything! I felt like it was my own private staff. The cleaning service people are very nice and always kept my room in prime condition and were always attentive to my space and my belongings. Even the bellboys had constantly asked me if they can help in any way. The front desk girls were all very pleasant and were well versed in English which is not so easy to find anywhere in Myanmar. They also kept the number to my driver/taxi who speaks English and super nice-his name is Naung. It was truly a pleasure to constantly tip this staff because they were very worthy of of it. A great Hotel, nicely designed”

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The host their named Heart was especially friendly. She excorted us to the bus terminal going to Yangon. They also speak good english. I would come back to this great Hotel.

Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff”

Staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel was very spacious and clean as well as the rooms. The swimming pool and sport center very clean and comfortable. The only disadvantage was the location, far from everything.

this hotel was good value. It was very quiet when we stayed there in June. The staff did their best to make our stay pleasant.

quick stop in Nay Pyi Daw”

The air conditioner in our room was not adequate and they didn't shut the curtains or turn on the air until we arrived, so the room was extremely hot. We asked for a fan, which they brought quickly, but the size of the room calls for two air conditioners.

Value for money ”

Speedy check-in and check-out. Internet speed was good comparing to similar hotel in the same area. Room is spacious and value for money.

I appreciate the staffs' service is superior , the building and facility is beyond my sanctification stage.

Far from the city center”

Located far from the city center. Hence, need to drive about 25 minutes to visit restaurants in the popular place of the city though taxi is cheep around 8 or 9 US$ for that distance. Breakfast is poor in its quality, table cloth is not clean enough.
