wonderful, amazing and relaxing”
Tip 1: Hotel check-in is 3pm! Tip 2: HOW TO GET THERE? HOW TO GET TO Palais De Chine. This is the question for people who just arrived Taipei therefore I am going to give you the best tip ever. If you are getting in by Taipei Rail or Taipei High-Speed Rail, the first thing you need to look out for are the signs up on the ceiling in the railway station or metro. Just like other big railway stations in the world, there are always exit numbers. So what you need to look out for is exit Y3 + Civic Boulevard/ Civic Blvd (in short). Keep looking for those two signs and you will walk past many many shops in the underground that you might think you are lost but no! You keep going and then somehow you will find an escalator to go up, beside the escalator, there are stretch of soft drinks and food dispenser machines. If your there, you are on the right track. You somehow will be in Qsquare or heading towards Qsquare but the signs will keep saying Y3/QSquare, so keep following the sign and you will reach a brightly litted mall after you got up to the main level from the escalator. From there, you will find an exit and you are definitely on the Civic Boulevard street, head towards the exit and turn right. You will see iTaipei but keep going and turn right. I know it sounds confusing but just keep following the right signs. Sorry to say there won't be any signs saying 'this way to Palais De Chine' Tip 3: There is only one problem with the hotel room in this hotel, it is the light switches. There are so many light switches in the hotel room that its not funny. You will have to figure out which switch belongs to which and it confuses the shock out of you if you wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. The light in the bathroom is sensor light so meaning that if you step closer to the bathroom, the light will switch itself on. Good luck in playing with switches! haha!

The Best Boutique Hotel in Taipei”
i truely enjoyed staying at palais de chine! i have stayed 5 star hotels in taipei, however palais de chine was way better! great location makes it easier to access to any places in taipei. staffs were very friendly and helpful. they recognized the staying guests and try to assist you as much as possible. hotel decor was great as well. usually hotels are very bright, but palais de chine was very dark. i enjoyed this unique atomosphere. room was the best! i especially liked the bath tub. it was huge! and decor of the room was nothing like other hotels. i actually enjoyed the time staying in my room the most during my taipei trip! plais de chine is recommended for couples or single traveler!

Very good hotel and comfortable”
I learnt Palais de Chine Hotel through Agoda.com. I saw the location and the reviewed were all very good. I booked and stay in Palais de Chine Hotel. I was so impressed with the interior design, the classic and modern contemporary style which qualified to name it under 5 stars hotel or above. I will definately stay in this hotel again for sure for my next business trip. The staffs and food serve in the hotel was excellent, especially their Beef Noodle (must order to try this out since this is the hotel STAR food). The soup and ingredient cooked was so tasty and I eat it everyday.... I certainly and definately recommend business travelers to stay and experience the hotel. Best is their locality. The hotel based in an excellent location with lines of TAXI waiting just 10 steps from the hotel and next to the hotel is the luxurious and best shopping mall. I visited the mall and tasted the Hong Kong restaurant. I took my lunch and dinner at this restaurant. The price is affordable and the food serve is healthy and non-oily. I must visit them again. Travellers, please stay in this hotel to experience the luxury lifestyle and modern layout.

Good location”
It is located opposite of Taipei Main Station. To Taipei Main Station, either you go through the underground shopping mall or by the overhead bridge. The staffs are very friendly, particular one counter staff who helped, guided and patiently explained to us. There is a round bath tub in the room, bed is very comfortable which you don't feel like waking up. Taxi is always available, as they queued right in front of the hotel entrance. Overall if you are finding for a place which is convenient, hassle-free and RELAX, Palais de Chine Hotel is the right place.

1st class customer service and superb location”
Booked room for 1 night stay to celebrate wife’s birthday and got a pleasant surprise at check in. Room was upgraded and was given a complimentary birthday tart with a personalized card. Hotel is located above a shopping mall and directly connected to Taipei Main Station. However room could do with more lighting as it is rather dark even with all lights turned on, I believe because the hotel theme is based on medieval era. Overall had a very good experience and would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Taipei to stay at Palais de Chine.

Dear Yu, Thank you very much for staying with us, and thank you for your compliments of our staff and location. However, due to our unique design to express an Europe castle elegant atmosphere, we apologies for the light might cause you feel inconvenient. We could put extra lighting for you when you stay with us next time or during your stay. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back to see you soon again. Convenient location with very nice rooms”
Palais de Chine Hotel has luxurious, nicely designed rooms and is the hotel to stay in if you want to stay near Taipei Main Train Station. It is just right above the train station so it is very convenient if you intend to travel out of Taipei. The only thing about the hotel is that the whole place is kind of dimly lit, including the rooms, we couldn't make the room any brighter. Other than that, the room was fab, with a big round bath-tub in the room.

Great location, service, and comfort”
The location is excellent, service impeccable and attentive, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hallways are dark but the lighting and controls, design, and considerations of the room was top notch. The hotel is right next to a large mall with shopping, restaurants and underground connection to the Taipei Main station for bus, MRT, local train, and high speed rail. Buses and transit options from the International Airports (Taoyuan and Songsan) both have direct buses that stop at the Taipei Main Station. Taxi stand in front of the hotel is always buzzing - I found a cab the moment I walked out. The concierge is attentive and resourceful. All around, wonderful experience. Lastly, the hotel validates for parking (enter the parking garage on Civic Boulevard - south side of the building). There is no cost for parking. I would stay at Palaise de Chine again for my next trip to Taipei.

One of the best stay ever!”
Our stay at Palais de Chine Hotel was exceptional. Though my first impression was awful when I was put off by 2 of the door "ladies" who saw us alight the cab with many luggages but yet just stood there watching and nudging each other to go and help us with our things, and of which one of them finally came to help after like ten minutes, it soon changed when I went to the lobby on the 6th floor to check-in. The lobby surroundings was warm and the receptionist and service staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were even better (we stayed in a deluxe room), new, clean, spacious, luxurious with a big round tub. There are many other 5 star hotels like this, but its not often you stay in one that costs slightly less than SGD 200 a night and just next door to a shopping mall and the MRT. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I were to come to Taipei again.

Nice, fancy hotel but little too dim lighting”
i stayed there for 5 nights, and it was very nice. i liked the tub, and the automatic lighting. everything was so convenient using remote control. bed was good and comfortable. location was terrific! right by the shopping mall qsquare and 2 of major subway lines underneath the hotel and also a central bus and train station. the gym on 17th floor was okay but needed some more equipments. not a good place for weight work out. i couldn't find swimming pool. i heard it was on 1st floor within an associated sports center, but never bothered to visit. electronic keys had to be fixed twice while i was staying. they should have their hotel name card with bigger letters. taxi drivers could not read their name cards and had hard time telling them. nobody knew the name 'palais de chine' instead they knew the name "juen pping" in taiwanese pronunciation. well anyways, i had a wonderful time in taipei. i would like to visit there again, and this hotel.

Cupboard closing/opening mechanism posts to be a hidden danger (Special Needs room on level 9- Rm 927 I think)”
Cupboard in the room opens in a unique way that is not uncommon, however, for a Hotel, it is very dangerous. Especially for young children if theyy stumble on the hotel cupboards and open them without supervision. My wife did not want to wake me up and thus, tried to close the cupboard without switching on the lights, the cupboard's closing mechanism caught her finger and left a nasty bloodied index finger nail that is now cracked and still recovering slowly. Its been 10 days since we stayed there. We have highlighted this in a customer feedback and we hope something can be done. I am in the hospitality industry formerly, and its odd to have a opening/closing mechanism like this in the room. It may be an isolated case but yet, we cannot guarantee this will not happen to other in house guests as well. Other than this one issue, everything about Palais De Chine Taipei is 100%. We will come back and hope that some measures can be taken to prevent similar occurences to other Guests. I am not asking the hotel to change all the cupboards, just hoping maybe a message or something can be sticked, or maybe soft closing, cushion etc that can be added for the safety of guests and young children. Thank you.

Fantastic stay”
This hotel has everything: widest spread of buffet breakfast, has the 3 Michelin star restau too, pretty interiors, courteous and very friendly/helpful staffs, very clean, fantastic location (very convenient - very near everything like MRT, Airport MRT, TRA, Bus; you have few malls to choose from like QSquare mall or Taipei City mall which are just few steps away). They even accommodated us for a free early check-in! The only con is the lights in the room and hallways, they can be pretty gloomy/dark esp in the evening. But other than that, can’t think of anything bad to say. I would definitely choose this hotel over and over, for my Taipei stay. Thank you, Palais De Chine for our wonderful stay!

Wonderful location and excellent hospitality”
I enjoy the stay very much because it is very convenient. It is next to the train station and airport coach station. The hotel is well decorated and very trendy. I particularly enjoy the interior design of the room though it's a bit dark (I suppose it's perfect if you want to have a good sleep and rest). The receptionists in the front desk are very polite and helpful. Overall, I have a very enjoyable stay and I definitely will choose to stay in Palais de Chine Hotel next time I visit Taipei!

the best hotel in TaiPei”
we have had great time in Palais de Chine Hotel, this hotel will definitely be our first choice in TaiPei. The hotel is central located, next to main train station and subway. Hotel's design is fantastic. We all love the breakfast, and the foods and drinks in executive lounge.

Great location, relatively spacious room...but a little dark”
We've been to Taipei many times but this is our first time staying in Palais de Chine. Location is excellent and the service is generally good. The room is relatively spacious for a Taipei hotel. Well equipped although there is no in-room ironing. The lights are a bit tricky - an irony as being more electronic should mean easier to use. Breakfast is alright but gets a bit boring after 5 days as the spread doesn't seem to change. We were hoping that there would be hot soya milk but were disappointed that it wasn't on the counter. Generally good experience although we didn't quite appreciate the generally dark design throughout the hotel (feels dated) and would recommend it although next time around, we would probably go back to our favourite boutique hotel (smaller but not as busy).

Good services, quiet environment, great location!”
This is my second stay in Palais de Chin Hotel already. The place is located right beside the Q Square which is a big shopping mall with great food court and restaurants in it. I had lunch with my family almost everyday inside. Moreover, it is just right opposite to the Taipei Station. Young people can take the MTR with various lines there. The room is big enough for 3 people (during this stay my mom, my brother and I stayed in the same room) with a big plasma tv with various selections of channels. They housekeep the room twice a day which makes the room always clean and tidy when we came back from a day's exploration. I think the hotel is also suitable for couples. I went there with my boyfriend during my first stay in the hotel and the place itself has a very romantic environment. Breakfast was also good. Quite a great choice of food. Ning Xia night market, K mall and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi are also nearby the hotel within a walking distant.

Excellent location, comfortable & clean room, good”
We stayed in Palais de Chine hotel for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel lobby has classical style and is very elegant. The room is decent size with comfortable bed / pillow. We have a balcony facing the courtyard, but unfortunately the windows were locked; so we can't go out to the balcony. This is probably the only complaint we have. The original package doesn't include breakfast, but we decided to buy the breakfast buffet. It's well worth the price -- probably one of the best breakfast buffet I have.

Great Location”
We have an enjoyable stay with Palais de Chine. The room is clean and spacious. Location is great and bed is very comforable. Breakfast has variety of choices.Certainly I would recommend to people who comes to Taipei for relaxation and honey mooon. However, the design of the room is only suitable for couple becuase the bath room is equipped with transparent glasses. So, everything can see through but very romantic.

the best of the best!”
i booked 2 executive double rooms for the weekends to celebrate my birthday with my family. but when i was checking in, the front lady gave me a big surprise: upgrade to junior suite for my birthday present! not one, both rooms ;). they also brought me a birthday cake to the room and it was just perfect!!!! people who work there are very nice as well. i loved especially the interior of the hotel. the location is also good because it is in the same building as q square(shopping mall) and it is next to the train station so it is an easy spot for taxi! overall, le palais de chine is one of the hotels i really want to go back once again!
