I truly love this place. the staff are honest, was and friendly, especially the security guard who makes sure you are safe and having a good time. My stay on Phu Quoc island was magical thanks to this place. Phu house has free pool table, ping pong and foosball which is fantastic to make friends with other travelers. They also have amazing drink specials on their rooftop which showcases one of the best views of the sunset on the island. I truly love this place and it's people.

Worth Every Penny”

A new hostel space has opened in Phu Quoc that aims to turn the world into a big happy family with chic asian interior design. Located right in the heart of Phu Quoc and opposite to the Coi Nguon Museum if you wanna take a glimpse of the island history and culture. For as little as $7 a night, beds are an excellent, safe, and cleanly alternative to hostel grime.

Phu Quoc is still a few years away from getting where it's going, so the night life and atmosphere on Long Beach is still pretty quaint compared to other parts of Vietnam. Still, Q Hao is a short walk from the beach, places like Rory's, and you can book all sorts of tours and motorbike rentals from this location. The hostel itself is incredible. Great skybar, rooms are clean and orderly, bathrooms are great, it's just an awesome joint all around. All it needs now is a little action and higher volume of traffic, but like I said, give it a few years.

BEST PLACE ON THE ISLAND”

This place is a one stop shop. If you find yourself coming to Phu Quoc stay here. They have dorm style rooms but we booked a private room. Room is large with modern bathroom amenities. There is a bar upstairs and they have nightly activities/bar crawls/boat outings. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. You can rent a motorbike directly from the hotel as well. This place is a well oiled machine. We would definitely book here again and recommend anyone else to stay as well.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Phu House Hostel. Staffs are all super friendly and helpful. The room is clean and nice. The architecture is also unique and lovely. Definitely recommended and I will come back.

I think that this is the best hostel you can find in Phu Quoc. Everything is brand new and I never saw a hostel with a hot tub, rooftop bar and a karaoke room! The staff is really fun and friendly.

Would recommend. They serve free beer everyday from 5pm to 5:30!!! Amazing sky cafe with the sea view. Very nice bathroom facilities. Big double room! Cleaned daily. Had a great time at Phu House.

Very pleasantly surprised!”

When I booked I wasn't expecting much because of the price and it saying it was a 'party hostel'. But when I arrived the building was amazing, new architecture, new building, clean. No deposit was required for the towels. The hostel was also very quite during my stay, granted it was April and that may be due to it being the off season. The staff were not the most helpful but they were all very nice. The tours they offer through the hostel are a bit pricy, we got the price for the same island tour from a man down in the harbor an it was only $10 a person as opposed to the $35 the hostel charged. All in all it was a great experience!

Good stay if you need some ‘me’ time”

I stayed for 5 nights and the hostel was only a 5 minute walk away from the beach - which is ideal! Close by are some shops and restaurants but a 50 minute walk from the centre of Duong Dong, where most of the stuff is happening. My room and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and modern, which was a nice change from some less equipped hostels I’ve stayed in in Vietnam. The hostel is large and my timing was out of season so it did seem a bit of a ghost hostel - but peaceful never the less! The reception staff were very accommodation and helpful and the staff on the roof bar were lovely too. The girl who worked on the 3rd floor bar always seemed like she didn’t want to be there, never smiled. once or twice she moaned and made a passing comment - perhaps a customer service job isn’t the one for her! But ultimately I enjoyed my stay and would defiantly recommend it if you need some space from the chaos is backpacking x

wifi not stable, but all else was perfect”

location is quite far from town but it's only a 5 min motorbike drive away. renting a motorbike is kind of a must in phu quoc. only problem for me was that the wifi wasn't too stable through the night, morning no problem. good value for money and super clean! would stay here again but not coming back to phu quoc anymore.

Super comfy, thats why i stayed”

I really liked the beds and its privacy. Bc of no breakfast there is no "meetingpoint" at the hostel to meet new people in the morning. They offer breakfast but quite expensive. The also offer many tours but i do NOT recommend the bout tour, costs 800.000 dong, sou ds nice but was the worst tour i took in10months travelling. Rough ocean but very small boat, seafood bbq is only seafood, tofu and meat, no vegetables etc. Just bread and watermelon, snorkling in open waters, beaches sometimes dirty and place where to each lunch disgusting with dogs, local families getting drunk and giving leftovers to the dogs.. Pubcrawl is nice but also quite pricey. Rent a scooter as the englishspeaking staff for directions and explore it by your self . Was hard to communicate with the vietnamese staff at the reception.

First Time in Vietnam”

Recommended by friends who had a great time when they were there - and I could see why. It's really as lovely as it looks, especially in the evening when the red lanterns flicker on. Fantastic location - a 10-minute cab ride from the airport, and about the same amount of time to the night market too. Minimart beside it with all the essentials, that closes late. And the beach is just a 5-minute walk down - you have to get through Rory's beach bar first, which is never a bad thing (that's another positive review I need to do). There's a hot tub next to the roof bar - unfortunately, it was under repairs when we were there. However, the daily FREE freeflow at 6pm more than made up for it. Helped wash down the yummeh food - was a fan of their banh mi, while the missus loved the pho. A highlight was the island hopping expedition led by THE MAN: Max! He brought us to islands with gorgeous white beaches, and clear coves for snorkelling. Food was covered too! Definite must-stay!

Friendly staff but poor service and facilities”

To be fair, Phu House is located on the main road but close to the beach and near the night market, these are its advantages. The staffs are courteous and friendly. However, the facilities here are very poor. The hotel looks more gloomy in the pictures. Its architecture and the lighting system made it so that at night, it was necessary to use the phone's flash to ascend stairs. The double rooms have no windows overlooking the sky, only 1 window overlooking the dark hallway. So, the room is small and secretive. The bathroom shower was leaking water. After showering, all the mirrors and the outside sink are wet. Not much hot water. Wait more than 5 minutes but there is no hot water. The air conditioner in the room cannot adjust the temperature. There were 2 nights when the room was icy and 2 nights the room became hot and hot. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, even when the doors were closed.

A fantastic place, would love to return. ”

Q Hao is a really great place. My partner and I had a private room which was big, clean and actually quite luxurious. The shower was big and the water was very hot. The room was cleaned daily. The hostel itself is really cool. The facilities are fantastic. The staff are amazing. Free Beer between 5-5.30pm at the sky bar which is a great place to chill out and watch the sun set. The hostel is in a perfect location. There is a shop and numerous restaurants close by and long beach is only a 5 minute walk away. I would highly recommend this hostel. ERINA N

Exceptional”

I had an amazing stay in this hostel. Even extended my stay here. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, there's curtain on every bed in the dorms for those who wants privacy. Would definitely stay here again if im coming back to the island.

Great staff and location does not flood”

The staff gave me a towel from rain, walked me to taxi with umbrella and listened to my needs. While other places on island were knee deep from rain and up to some peoples chests, this hostel did not have a flood. It was passable and safe with great drains. I stayed a month during rain season and wrote a book.

Friendly, Helpful and Money worth”

Hotel Staffs at Phu House are very friendly and helpful even not everyone is fluent in speaking English
