Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl Hotel is a very beautiful hotel. It has an old Parisian feel to it that is enhanced by the nature surrounding it. The mountain and ocean views from the hotel are breathtaking and I enjoyed waking up to such beautiful scenes. Our room was clean and well-kept, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and the food was well-prepared. The hotel was in a good location as the beach, and other restaurants and attractions were nearby. The hotel has a lot to offer and my husband and I enjoyed every moment. The pool was nice and large and there was a gym! All this goodness for a reasonable price. We hope to visit again soon!

Expensive location”

I have a business trip in Phu Quoc, the Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl hotel is very expensive location convenient for moving to the area. The hotel is very new, beautiful and luxurious. Staff fun, friendly, enthusiastic. The food is very good. After a working day, I did not have to move to other entertainment places because the hotel has Sky on the 10th floor - the sunset was very beautiful. I will return to hotel for future trips.

Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl Hotel ”

Excellent location. The hotel front desk staff s were really friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had enough selections for Westerners and Asian dishes. The facilities were very clean. The rooms weren't sound proof. Therefore, we heard TV and other peoples making noises. Also, the music can be loud from the next property and the Skye bar on top of the building A of Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl Hotel. We were on the 5th level of building A so the music wasn't as loud like some comments that I had read. We walked to public beach about 300 meters and rented the chairs there. Overall, it is a excellent value for your money. We are Canadian and we paid about $60 CA per night. In Canada you would paid almost $100 per night for an old motel or hotel that may included a breakfast with toasts, bagels, cereals, coffee and juice. If the place is clean, beautiful, the staffs are friendly, the food is decent then stopped complaining and expecting too much peoples.

This is the best hotel , and services I ever been. Breakfast is amazing, too many choice, and food very good and tasty. Staff very polite and helpfull. The swimming pool is huge and very nice. I will be back again. Thanks Phu Quoc Ocean Pearl Hotel, to give a good time during my holiday.

Had a wonderful time in Phu Quoc. The hotel was very nice and clean. Staff were super kind and helpful. Food was delicious with lots to choose from. My husband and I thought the room was gorgeous, especially the ocean view we had. Swimming pool was so big, definitely good for kids. Spa was peaceful and relaxing. We appreciated that everything was so close by, the night market and beach are a short walk away. Would definitely come back if we had the chance.

Thumb Up for the Front Office Manager”

I've booked airport pick up through hotel. Out from airport, couldn't find anyone holding signage of my name. Without choice, we took a taxi to hotel. Upon arrived, I was really fused with the bad arrangement. The receptionist who was on duty couldn't understand English well has to call the manager on duty to take over. The Manager on duty - Phurong Tan Phat, reacted professionally. He patiently understand my situation and apologized for the mistake made. He compensated us with rooms upgrade and complimentary transfer to airport when check out. During our stay, he tried his BEST to help us on transport arrangements within Phu Quoc. On the checked out noon, he ensured we had everything arranged properly and sent us off. I've stayed in so many hotels, this is the BEST manager who i've met. KEEP UP with the good job!

New and clean hotel, very friendly staff”

The hotel js new, room is spacious with very good facilities. Staff are quite helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is ok with changing menu. The biggest minus point is location, which is a little bit far to the town centre (around 20 mins walking) while the pavement is narrow and dusty. Would consider staying here again when visiting Phu Quoc next time.

Awesome Stay”

We loved staying at the Ocean Pearl! It had a great location just a quick walk to the beach, we were able to rent motor bikes directly from the hotel so we could ride around the island, and the room and bed were comfortable! Good buffet breakfast along with an awesome pool. If you stay, I would suggest reserving pool/beach towels early in the morning because they run out quickly. We stayed in the back portion of the hotel which we heard from other guests had less noise from Sky Bar, but we did see the lights from the Sky Bar nightclub until about 1 in the morning, it didn't both us though because the black-out curtains worked pretty well when closed. Would highly recommend Ocean Pearl!

Good staff and location”

Hotel is in good location and about 2km from the nigbt markets and 10mins walk to the nearest beach. Beaches in Phu Quoc are not clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly and warm. We are happy with their great service. Stayed for 2 nights, the room smell extremely strong of cleaning chemicals that can cause health hazards and made me cough, informed to reception who said they will make sure to remove the smell but when we return to the room it smell is still there. Water in the pool is not clean and did mot use the pool. Very weak Wifi. Overall, I could recommend this hotel.

A good hotel for the price but not near the beach”

We got a good deal for this hotel but they don't have beach access. We came to Phu Quoc to enjoy the beach. You have to walk 15 minutes to get there and they have no affiliation with a hotel or place to use sunbeds. You can go to sunset bar and use theirs free if you buy food and drinks. Breakfast is average and doesn't have much to cater for vegetarians. The pool is lovely and really clean. Their rooftop bar is amazing. But if you are staying in the front tower rooms it would be very noisy. The gym has no privacy and is a poor set up. The female manager needs to learn better customer service skills. Our room was ok, but they gave us a room that had a door to what could be an adjoining room next door. Each time they put their light on, our room would light up. Ridiculous.

Comforting experience”

Phu Quoc was my first stop in Vietnam. After reading about scams etc in Vietnam, it was a pleasant surprise. The staff were trustworthy and tried to help wherever possible. The breakfast was fantastic. The room clean and comfortable. Walking past the hotels and bungalows along Long beach I felt a little disappointed I wasn't in that location but I would trade the comfort, cleanliness and security of the accommodation over the beach location.

Friendly staff, fast WIFI, nice swimming pool”

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Pearl hotel. Staffs are very attentive and friendly. I really liked their various Vietnamese noodles from the breakfast buffet. They also have a nice big clean pool. Night market is about 25-30 minutes to walk. WIFI is very fast and steady. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Exceptional”

Ocean Pearl Hotel was very comfortable and in a great location. From the hotel you can walk to the beach, the night market and loads of restaurants and cafes. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool was beautiful and clean.

A real treat”

The hotel is not finished, and that's the ultimate reason to try this pearl now. Who doesn't want to sleep in a 4 star hotel for the price of a guesthouse? Rooms are perfectly clean, staff is friendly and smiling their cheeks out of their face. Use the excellent wifi for google translate at the reception if you need something. Shower and bed are better than the ones at home. Breakfast closes a tad too early, but the neighbours (The Embassy & Peach Coffee) serve the best breakfast on the island for a ridiculous reasonable price. The swimming pool isn't open yet, but hey, that's where the reduced prices are for. Highly recommended.

Good location”

Great location, great pool (gets the sun till about 2.30), small but modern gym (2 treadmills and spin bikes, multi gym and benches but no free weights). Good gym for £1 at the Levan about 1 minutes walk. Good breakfast with different choices daily and within walking distance of everything. Good base if staying in Phu Quoc. Complementary airport transfer too.

Adequate hotel for a short stay, but definitely not 4 star...barely 3”

The hotel is decent, but old with small rooms more equivalent to a motel than a four star. Very overpriced for Asia. It’s well located to walk places, but on a busy street. I moved my room three times to try to get a decent WiFi signal. Staff was helpful, but not overly kind and the island is beautiful but very touristy (in a bad way) and dirty. Hope Phu Quoc improves with time but it seems like the island made a lot of wrong decisions as it developed into a popular destination.

Nice place”

The hotel was very nice and clean. Rooms were very big. My little kids loved the pool because it was so huge. Staff were very respectful and helpful. Food was good, hotel had nice ocean view from our window. Seems like the hotel is a very popular location. Beach and restaurants were very close to the hotel. Most places were within walking distance. Really enjoyed our vacation!

Terrible - new rooftop night club keeps you awake until 2AM daily!”

We were really disappointed with our stay at Ocean Pearl. Given that the hotel claims to be a 4 Star, we were really excited to have a beautiful and incredibly relaxing trip to Phu Qouc. Ocean Pearl ruined that holiday, unfortunately. To start, there is no chance that the hotel is a 4 Star by Western standards. Not sure who rates hotels in Vietnam (or if they simply rate themselves). I would rate Ocean Pearl a 2.5 / 3 Star at a push... Cons (I’ll start with these as there are sadly quite a few more than pros): - The hotel has selfishly recently opened a night club on the roof, which gets going at about 10PM daily and blasts music across the entire hotel until about 2AM every day (New Years was even later). I complained on numerous occasions - the first time I complained the response was “if you think it’s loud in your room, you should see how bad it is in rooms that are higher up”. The second time I complained, I called the reception where the member of staff said “sorry” and then hung up on me; - Hotel staff literally cannot speak a word of English and are generally offish and unfriendly. The only way I could communicate beyond “hello” and “goodbye” was by using Google Translate; - The hotel building itself is poorly built and very noisy - you can hear your neighbor shower, talk, move, etc.; and - The hotel is not on the beach. Although it’s not a far walk, I would highly recommend booking a hotel which has beach access in Phu Qouc as all beaches are privately owned. As such, if you don’t stay on a resort that has direct beach access, it is very hard to get to the beach and you are restricted to a few very small patches of public beach. Pros - The breakfast spread isn’t bad; - Room was small, but fine; and - The hotel location, albeit not on a beach, isn’t bad. It’s on a vibey strip of the island with good restaurants all around. Long Beach is probably the best beach on the island as well. In summary, a real disappointment which unfortunately had the effect o
