perfect motel near train station”

We stayed in standard room with private bathroom. Big and comfortable bed, minibar, fridge, big bathroom with hot water. There is no internet but there is a TV)) The location is good to take a train, just 5 min walking to the station. The hotel stands on the highway, we stopped a bus to Mudon right there. The room had a window. Very quiet place. Then we moved to a guesthouse near the river but in 2 days moved back to the motel. Very big hall at the reception to have meals and drinks. Staff is helpful and friendly. Thank you very much!

I don't understand why this place has such a bad rating”

Room was clean, toilet too. Personel was super nice. Their English was not the best, but who cares. The price was few times less that the others in Mlawamine so our expectations weren't high. We were positively suprised though. The location is also awesome - 5 minutes walking to the train station. Couldn't be better if you have to catch the one at 4 am.

Nice little hotel”

I wonder what people complain about. It's not the Hilton but I didn't pay for this kind of service either. Pros: - Didn't have to ask for breakfast, it was served both days and was delicious and in big portions - Cheap - Next to the train station and pagodas' hill (perfect to enjoy the sunset); shops and street food across the street - The staff would do their best to help Cons - no wifi but who cares? With telenor you get a SIM card for 1500 kyats and an internet plan of 2Gb for 6000 kyats! Worth going to smaller hotels for the rest of your trip - no window in the room so it was hotter in this tiny 1-person bedroom than outside (the only downside as far as I'm concerned) - Far from the city centre, night market, etc. but it's nothing special anyway I recommend this place and I would go again!

Cheap stay with respect to the pathetic Myanmar pricing. Unclean, but you get what you pay for”

Unclean bathrooms and toilets - well too unclean that you'd think twice even to touch the latch. No WiFi whatsoever. Book online because it is cheaper (9-10$ a night) and you get free breakfast, which of course is bought from the nearby street restaurants - fried rice, egg, coffee. Fan cooled cramped up rooms. The bedsheet and pillow cover were washed properly - I can smell good detergent. Friendly staff. Overall a good stay, give or take in the cleanliness factor.

Really good for catching an early train or if you want to admire the stalagtites in the bathroom. ”

Pros: The closeness to the train station and the fact that the AC was running all night. Cons: the general hygiene; weird stalagtites of unknown substance in the bathroom, ants, questionable cleanliness of the bed sheets, discolored water coming out of the tap. There is no WiFi and blackouts happen on a regular basis (city wide, not just hotel) but they have a generator that kicks in after a few minutes. When we were there it was over 40 degrees Celsius so we were really happy that the water in the shower was really nice and cold. But if you're looking for a hot shower then go somewhere else since there isn't any hot water at all.

Would not recommend”

Close to the train station and bus station. When we checked in I asked about breakfast and they told us there was no breakfast. The next morning I asked why there was no WiFi and no breakfast if it's advertised on Agoda. They said the WiFi had an accident and wasn't working, but provided us with a great breakfast every day that we stayed. No one really speaks English. The double bed room we stayed in barely had room for the bed, which was pushed up to 3 walls. There was barely enough room for our luggage. The room was open to the hallway so it was loud and a lot of mosquitoes came into our room. I don't have allergies but the blanket (a twin blanket on a double bed) made me break out in hives. The whole place smelled strange and just felt icky. TLDR; don't stay here.

moldy noisy room”

air con, location, bed

we arrived at 4am. we could not check in until 6am but were given a single room while we waited. when we returned to the front desk to change rooms, no one spoke any English. we tried to explain the situation and show the staff our booking confirmation, but their only reply was, "no" and laughter. another guest helped us translate and after more confusion, we finally had our room. there is no WiFi, even though it is advertised. also, you have to insist that breakfast is included. the power cuts out throughout the middle of the day. avoid this place if possible.

Do not stay here - worst hotel in SE Asia so far”

Leaving

This was a poor hotel - the only useful thing is that it's 400m to the train station. Staff were unhelpful and rude band really didn't want us there. There was no internet for 2 days let alone the advertised wifi. There was no toilet paper provided (had to keep asking). There was no breakfast, as advertised, we were just told "no breakfast anymore".The room was small, damp, had mild on the walls and ceilings and was pretty grim. Sleep was poor quality due to location, the noise and other guests.
