I was worried about check-in, but it went smoothly! Some people say that the self-check-in system is difficult, but I found it to be very convenient as it is available at any time. When I called, they responded immediately and the staff spoke English well (which is rare in Japan). However, if you are considering a long-term stay, please note that cleaning service is only provided once before check-in and towel replacement and cleaning are not provided. Nevertheless, the location and amenities are great, and the staff even recommended a nearby laundromat, which was very helpful. The room was typically small for a Japanese hotel, but the bathroom was satisfactory and the bed was comfortable. The only downside is that there is no luggage storage before or after check-in/check-out due to it being a self-check-in hotel!
Hotel near station, easy to travel. If coming from Honjo Azumabashi Station, it is closer to Asakusa. Clean and quiet. The room is small, so it's a bit difficult to open a large suitcase, but it's not a big problem. It is convenient to take the train from the station to Narita Airport.
Pros: It is located in a quiet area and near the spots in Asakusa. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores near the nearest subway station, which is 5 to 8 minutes away. If you have luggage, just look for the exit with the elevator. It was cool seeing the Skytree on the way to the hotel. The size of the room is perfect for a solo traveler. The bed is soft and comfortable. The room is generally clean. Aside from the usual toiletries (conditioner, shampoo, body wash, hand wash), they provided 1 bottle of alcohol and 1 bottle of sanitizer for clothes. Pajamas and bedroom slippers were also provided. Check-in (as long as you get the email for the hotel entrance passcode) and check-out were no hassle. Scheduling for cleaning was also a breeze. Cons: They didn't send the hotel entrance passcode 1 day before check-in as promised here. Before my flight, i had to send several messages here but didn't receive a reply. I sent emails on the email in their website but didn't get a reply also. I eventually found their email address thru the agoda customer service on the app and sent 2 emails before getting a reply. But once you get the email, check-in is fast. As to location, if you're planning to stay out late in Shinjuku or Shibuya, make sure to keep track of the last trains to avoid paying a lot for a taxi or uber. As to cleanliness, some parts (switches, bathroom corners) were a bit dusty. It was also weird because after cleaning, the table top and small counter on the bathroom mirror had droplet stains. There was only 1 pillow. It would be nice if they had umbrellas that guests could borrow. Overall: Good place to stay for your money's worth.
I had a pleasant stay at this Rakuten STAY Tokyo Asakusa. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and I truly appreciated its thoughtful and modern design. Every detail seemed carefully curated to ensure comfort and style. One of the highlights is the excellent location, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. The price is very reasonable for what you get, offering great value for money. However, it’s worth noting that the accommodation operates with minimal staff presence, so most services are self-service. If you need assistance, you’ll need to call the staff. Additionally, there’s no daily housekeeping, which might not suit everyone. Lastly, the rooms are a bit small, but that’s quite common in Japan. Overall, despite these minor downsides, I’d still recommend this place for its cleanliness, design, and unbeatable location. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for good value.

New and modern rooms, friendly service, convenient transportation”
3-5 minutes walk from the subway station "Honjo-azumabashi" to the hotel! This station can directly take the "Keisei Line" to Narita Airport, super convenient! The hotel office staff on the first floor are friendly and enthusiastic to help me find the passport lost at the hotel counter! Thank you very much 😂 There are many small restaurants, several convenience stores, a supermarket nearby. I stayed for 15 days, and the living facilities and transportation are very convenient! There is a large park next to the hotel, and you can walk straight for about 15 minutes to reach Sensoji Temple. Along the way, there are beautiful harbor night views and some fashionable small shops! On the other side, you can also walk about 15 minutes to Tokyo Skytree! Very satisfied, highly recommended! 👍
