Firstly I’d like to thank the staff for being kind and courteous, I’d like to thank the housekeeping for keeping it clean and tidy, The hotel is Beautiful and is filled with Moroccan architecture which cannot be modified or replicated as it’s handcrafted and takes a long time to make therefore I don’t understand the reviews about renovation the hotel! I would say some items can be changed in the rooms like the door handles Which are firm and not easy to open close and caught my skin a few times The shower is good and pressure is amazing I could however hear the next door guest snoring and hear the entire conversation which was not pleasant. The carpets leading to the lifts could be refreshed with a carpet cleaner The downside was the restaurant for breakfast. It was lacking utensils like Spoons It’s has very little variation being a 5* hotel you expect a variety for sure, the didn’t have any Nutella which is basics as I overheard many guest asking for this. As they expect to eat pancakes crepes with this! I really Wanted to eat something Called amlou which is a traditional Moroccan almond paste similar to peanut butter. 1 tissue available on the table and that’s about it The orange juice had to be stirred upon request The staff were nice and trying To help but something could be worked out The petit pain was dry and possibly spend the night out That’s the only Negatives I can point out Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend it

Amazing location, staff and value for money”
We were a group of 4 friends who had 2 rooms. The hotel staff at check in were fast and helpful. We had to pay a city tax on arrival but this is normal. There was a mixup with our room as I had cancelled a previous booking as it was for only 1 adult and then rebooked for 2 as our plans changed. But as I gave the booking ID number provided by Agoda he found the booking and we were taken to our room. The hotel lobby looks amazing something like a ancient castle, very detailed and nice to look at. There is plenty nice comfortable clean seating also in the lobby, where in the afternoon you can enjoy some traditional Moroccan tea which is complimentary. The rooms wardrobes are a little tired meaning alot of them do not fully close and neither are they clean inside they are dusty. I recommend taking some wipes and cleaning it if your going to use as if your arriving at night the room cleaning team would have left by then. The room overall is clean and bedding also. The room cleaning team come and clean every day and speak Arabic and French. So if you speak only english Google Translate will be your best bet for anything extra you need. Our room was cleaned by Hind who was extremely helpful and cleaned the room very well. She even provided us with an iron and ironing board when we needed it. Please note though we were told there was only 3 irons and boards available. So it is shared between rooms. Towels were given everyday and the towels were clean. We did have an issue with our toilet flush which we had to complain about for a few days before it was fixed. This was annoying as we had to manually flush the toilet with a bottle. This slowed us down and we wasted alot of time like this. The plumber came out once on the 2nd day and said it is fixed but it was not still fixed. Thereafter to show the plumber the problem we had to leave the toilet used so they understood it was not flushing. They did fix it however after and the rest of the stay it was working.

Had to reactivate my key card every day at reception was a nuisance .also one day my room was not cleaned .also had 4 problems no handle on bathroom door only one bedside lamp working .balcony light didnt work and mini bar door coming off its hinges .not what you expect for a 5 star hotel .

I was having a solo trip, at first i was given a very bad room ( dont even want to go into details) but the receptionists rectified the issues in the room immediately and to apologize gave me a Junior suite on my last night at the hotel.

Great staff but mixed feelings”
Nice hotel very pleasant interior, deluxe rooms ok, clean room comfortable bed excellent linens, exceptional staff. Found air conditioning poor in bedrooms, a pretty limited choice breakfast for a 5star hotel, but worse of all major construction work being carried out throughout the day on all the 3rd floor,workmen knocking bathrooms/tiles floors out, complete refurbishment of the entire floor. Dreadful heavy banging till 9am -4/5pm every day so hard to relax forced to go out the whole day

Positive: The staff are friendly and helpful, the location was convenient, the communal areas are traditional and beautiful, the breakfast was fine, nothing fancy but a plentiful buffet. A cheap and cheerful option, more like 2star no way is it 5 star. Negative: The rooms feel like a cheap motel. Furniture is damaged, rooms are really dirty, you can hear TV, conversations and coughing of neighbours through adjoining door to next room. Safe not secured and night door lock broken. Staff could be trained to clean properly, furniture and fittings fixed, tea and coffee facilities provided and guests not put in noisy rooms for a much better client experience.

Location was great, right inbetween the new and old part of Marrakech. The pool was dirty, morning buffet was very low quality and the staff hardly bothered to refill or maintain an overview of e.g. missing breadknife, removing hard leftover bread etc. One of the toilets didnt flush properly.
