Exceptional service and great location”

from the time we checked in until our departure, we were looked after by some of the most friendly and helpful staff i have ever experienced. we have travelled to many parts of south east asia and the shangri-la's rasa sentosa resort is right up amongst the best. we had thought that being part of a large multi-national chain, the service may have been less personal but not so. the rooms are a lttle smaller than we would have liked but the amenities are great including large lcd tv with many channel selections, extensive lighting, bath and separate shower,aircon and fan etc. the view from the 10th floor is nothing short of spectacular looking across the south china sea and the many ships and ferries which pass by. food in the many onsite restaurants is excellent and reasonably priced. the buffet breakfast is the most comprehensive we have ever seen and will have something for every nationality. overall a great experience and one we can recommend.

AAA service and attitude in true resort setting”

Sentosa Island was a real revelation to us, having frequently visited Singapore on stopovers and business trips. It has appeared in the spotlight recently with the development of Singapore's second Casino at Resorts World, and the adjoining Universal Studios. But the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort is the antithesis of any casino or theme park complex. It is the only beachfront resort on Sentosa (and in Singapore I think), providing an island escape atmosphere just a kilometer or so from the more manic resorts. About 50 metres off the beach is a large pool area with designated adult/child/wading areas, which keeps things well under control. Rooms were very well appointed and serviced, with most having views over the pool and garden areas, if not ocean views as well. Service was simply excellent, as were the transport options for getting around the island to visit other resorts, or shuttling into the shopping complexes - all free! Food was also excellent. The breakfast spread was fantastic, with options to sit in air conditioned comfort or outside amongst the island style views of the pool and ocean (if you can ignore the freighters moored off shore). Probably the best property in Singapore catering to families with children - which was the only thing that made us hesitant to book here, since we wanted relaxation. But the layout and facilities kept children entertained without intruding on adults enjoyment. So I give them full marks there. But I would probably still avoid it during school holidays.

Highclass hotel that offers a lot”

We enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa. Everything was simply classy. Room (hill view) was quite large, beds were truly comfortable, buffet breakfast was awesome, a wide range of facilities were there to keep you entertained. Our son loved the kids friendly swimming pools and kids club. Access to many places in Sentosa was easy, thanks to free buses operated. Having said all these nice things, value for money is a bit doubtful as I see hotels in Singapore generally over-priced.

I appreciate what the Rasa Sentosa Resort Singapore offers. This hotel is located on the western tip of Sentosa Island, ideal for business travelers, vacationers, and honeymooners. The hotel overlooks Siloso Beach and South China Sea. Onsite are three restaurants, a free-form pool, fitness center, sea sports center, and tours can be arranged. I notice that getting to the Rasa Sentosa Resort Singapore is easy with the airport 30 minutes away.I realise that if I come with rented car I was also able enjoy the free parking facilities .The Rasa Sentosa Resort Singapore features private balconies that look out over the sea and gardens. Room have been redecorated for the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Room was equipped with cable television, executive desk, safe, mini-bar, DD phone, and coffee/tea making. Truely Resort Hotel”

Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort is one of the best resort hotel that we had stayed so far. With its best facility and location, the children have great fun in the hotel. But the most important is the friendly service stuff that make you feel like home. We are treated like VIP and very impressed with the stuff smile and they really taking care of every guest. This is the resort hotel that offer the best choice of vocation. We will be back.

Lovely hotel with Great view”

shangri-la's rasa sentosa resort offered me a upgrade to a suite at a very attractive price and i did. never regret it. the seaview is great just that the jacuzzi water is not very clean and the water massage is so so. the room is big, with 2 bathroom and 2 tvs and a living room. there is a queen size bed and a 1 single bed hidden beside the wall. there is a couch at the balcony for you to lie down to see the stars at night.

Fantastic Beach Getaway”

The Shangri-La's Sentosa Resort is a beautiful gem on Sentosa Island. I was very pleased with the lavish room and decor. The bathroom was a really nice size too. I had a lovely balcony but could not use it due to the infestation of monkeys. They were on my patio all day and part of the night. I would recommend against the hillside rooms for this reason, otherwise it would have been lovely. I took full advantage ofthe many activities on the grounds- The Flying Trapeze and rock wall were both a blast, the pools were gorgeous, the beach magnificent. I most enjoyed the spa though. I had a wonderful hour long massage.My last comment is about the grounds- they are beautiful and manicured, with peacocs strolling about. Truly idyllic. I highly recommend this hotel to every type of traveler.

Excellent”

The last two days in Singapore, we chose to stay in Sentosa. Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa is completely fitting for family travel. We feel relax and comfortable. We will choose to stay one more night if we know it is before we plan for travelling. Hope to go back again for next visiting in Singapore.

Lovely Hotel and a Great Service”

i have stayed in a number of 5 to 6 star hotels but the experience that i had at shangri-la's rasa sentosa was incomparable to the other hotels. the service was excellent. the staff went all out to make sure my children were happy and well taken care of. they looked into minor details e.g. during breakfast, the queue was really long so they served us mini bites and drinks while waiting for a table. i strongly recommend anyone who have young children to try out this hotel as a family getaway.

we stayed in the hotel from october 29 to november 2, 2011. it was supposed to be until november 1 but we decided to extend one more night because we really enjoyed our stay in shangri-la's rasa sentosa resort. we really love the facilities and the customer service is really great!

we spent our honeymoon at shangri-la rasa sentosa resort - the best hotel we have ever stayed at! shangri-la exceeded all our expectations, from the friendly & professional customer service, the beautiful panorama ocean-view room and paradise setting, delicious buffet breakfast every morning and the free shuttle bus service to harbourfront & vivocity on singapore's main land. shangri-la also surprised us with a "happy honeymoon" chocolate mousse cake and a free upgrade to an ocean-view room! we definitely will stay at shangri-la again!

Baby loved the waddling pool and indoor playground”

Visited Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa to celebrate husband's birthday with our 10-month old baby. Both of them absolutely loved the resort's tranquility and facilities. Husband was surprised by the reception staff with a birthday greeting and an in-room chocolate cake. We enjoyed ourselves a lot with this first staycation as a family. Clean beach, clean room, clean everything. As a person who can't live without breakfast, the breakfast spread offered at Rasa is two thumbs up. Totally spoilt for choice, even my weaning baby has something to indulge in. I'm also a stickler for good bathrooms in hotels/resorts. This one is great. Nothing to pick about. Looking forward to the next visit at Rasa :)

Lovely family-friendly resort in great location”

My husband, 7-year old daughter and I loved this resort. The location was lovely, the outlook over the strait and all of the cargo ships was really interesting. The fully inclusive buffet breakfast was exceptional and the staff were attentive and friendly. My daughter loved the 3 waterslides into the kids pool and the excellent kids club that she only got to use for a couple of hours the morning we checked out because there is so much to do on Sentosa (Luge, Segway, Universal Studios etc etc) and in Singapore (Highlights included: The zoo - beautiful, Little India and China town, the pool at the top of Marina Bay Sands, the art gallery of Singapore). A cab to the resort from the airport only cost us just over $20. On the island, transport is free - the beach tram/bus is regular and fun, leaving from just next to the resort/beach. This takes you up to the monorail station which takes you for free to Resorts World/Universal Studios and VivoCity the great shopping centre on the other side. Would definitely go back to the Rasa Sentosa if/when we're in Singapore again.

Great Hotel”

Understand there was a conrona virus case patient who was staying with this Shangri La property. The purpose for me to stay with this hotel is that I believe especially this particular Shangri La Rasa Sentosa Resort hygiene standard is the best compare to the other sister properties. I may not be a regular guest with them. But I know them very well. I find the hotel rate still a bit pricey especially during this corona virus period. Feel they should have do more promotions to bring in the staffs and the locals to come in and stay in this period so as to ease and pull through this difficult period as one. During my stay, I have met a few wonderful chefs in the silver shell Cafe. They are all very professional, excellent services, friendly and always delighting guests. I hope the property will recognise them, they are chef Desmond, chef Annie awesome noodle, chef Karen wonderful egg benedits with smoked salmon, chef ah Mui friendly awesome service. Chef Mac serving wondering food.

Outstanding resort for any money”

The Rasa Sentosa lives up to the Shangri-La standard of excellence, but still provides a fun family experience. The rooms are sufficient size to allow space even with excessive luggage, and beds were comfortable to a business class hotel standard. Internet connection was reliable and fast. The location and view are excellent. The choice of beach and sizeable pool kept the kids occupied, both the young and older kids. The kids' facilities kept them busy all day, and the proximity to other attractions on and off Sentosa made it quite convenient to take in a full day of activities without becoming travel weary. Fitness facilities were good and well maintained. Restaurant quality was up to Shangi-La standard, and provided good value for the money. Overall I would highly recommend this resort to any family looking for a complete vacation getaway, or to any business traveler looking to get away from the noise and bustle of the city. It was great, and the family didn't want to leave.

Perfect Staycation!”

This is the first time we took our young daughters for a weekend stay in Rasa Sentosa, it's a great vacation, money was really well spent. I even cancelled our Thailand trip this Dec because we're planning of going back to Rasa Sentosa again. This is a great holiday, relaxing for the adults, enjoyable for the kids, yet no tiring travelling by plane/boat. We booked the superior hill view room, but the very friendly receptionist offered to upgrade us to the Deluxe Pool View Family room very a mere $40. We grabbed the offer, and the kids got to have their own sofa bed;-) We invited my siblings with kids to come join us at the pool, and the staff actually came to deliver 8 more bottles of water, lots of towels and even extra packets of instant coffee when they saw we had so many people in the room, without request!This is what I called great service! (Of course my siblings didn't stay overnight) We called the service line a couple times to request for the trash to be emptied (diapers with baby poo), and it was done very promptly every time with a smile. Breakfast Buffet was marvelous, with a lot of choices catered esp for children. Even my husband (who's quite picky) was impressed. Only suggestion for improvement: - Do have some vegetarian options (without onion, garlic etc) listed in the restaurant menu. This would make it so much easier for buddhist vegetarians. In the end the chef came out and especially cooked a delicious spread for us, which we really appreciated, but we were all famished (esp the kids) by the time the food were served. There are a lot of buddhist vegetarians in Singapore, think it'd be a huge plus point for the hotel to offer Buddhist Vegetarian food.

after reading many reviews saying what a wonderful family hotel the shangri-la's rasa sentosa resort was, i was planning my family getaway there. throughout our stay, we enjoyed most of the facilities which you could expect of shangrila. the kids loved the water slides. hotel is great location for exploring all the attractions on sentosa. i would definitely go out of my way to recommend this hotel as it offered everything we needed and wanted, all topped off with excellent friendly service. an amazing experience that made our amazing holiday even more special!

Fantastic!”

We extended our stay for another night at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort. Our son met many new friends at the children's center and swimming pool area. We enjoyed the amenities and highly recommended Shangri-La!
