The location of STG Hotel is very near the lake, minutes walk to anywhere really, Ye being quite quaint, and small. Staff are excellent here, very helpful despite struggles with English. Toh Toh (owner? manager?) is fluent however, and helped me with everything! Unable to continue overland to Dawei, she contacted hotels I had booked there, and cancelled the reservations. Day trip transport was set up for me twice, and was reasonable. The restaurant attached is better than most (all?) in town, and offers indoor and outdoor choice of setting. Full bar helps too. All in all, I highly recommend both this hotel, and this town or a few days!

All of the hotel is so clean and inviting. Wi-fi is good. Staff is helpful and smiling and do their best even though they do not speak much English. The restaurant serves well prepared food at fair prices. We rented a motorbike from the reception. We highly recommend this nice hotel in charming Ye.

High standards and very welcoming. The staff take very good care of their guests. The attached cafe/restaurant is a delight and very popular. It’s not far to walk to the market and the lake. It’s a great spot for people watching. Thank you to everyone for making our visit to Ye so special.

Good BUSINESS hotel, NOT for a solo traveller”
This hotel is absolutely nice with a comfy bed and big bathroom. Breakfast is standard for the area and quite good. However, if you are a single traveller, this is not the hotel for you. The staff does not speak English and is not much helpful. Also, there are better locations in the town - this one is kind of in a surburb (even though Ye is tiny anyways :))

This is a new hotel in the centre of Ye, about 10 minutes walk from the station in one direction and the market in the other. The staff were pleasant and helpful, breakfast fairly basic but adequate and additional items could be purchased.

It is slightly out of the centre but is new and clean. Some of the staff speak some English. The is an (attached) air conditioned restaurant which appears to have become the "in" place for locals with some money. They have a selection of cakes. Its bar also has some international spirit brands ( unlike Dream cafe which I imagine may have gone downhill since the published reviews were written). However, note that there is no lift in the hotel, so a room on the 3rd floor (as I had) will require some effort unless the staff help you. Note also that whilst the staff knew a non-English speaking taxi driver, I was kindly assisted by David and Winnie (at Starlight) to get one with some English.

We were surprised to find such a hotel in a city which really offers very little. New, clean, quiet hotel with everything you need in the room, a good restaurant, a good breakfast and lovely staff. Great.

A very clean hotel and lovely friendly staff. A great view from the bedroom window. The owners speak perfect English and are always around to help you if needed. It’s in a perfect location and thankfully it’s a great hotel as it’s the only one in town for foreigners to stay!

I felt like a prince ”
This hotel is not fancy but it's new and modern and tasteful. The staff is wonderful (friendly and as helpful as they can be) even if not everyone speaks English. Breakfast was nice. Seems to be the fanciest place in this small town.

Over-priced, view of rubbish but comfortable and friendly”
For a fairly basic hotel room, this felt expensive. Also, view from the window was piles of plastic and other rubbish. If I owned this place I’d clear that up. But the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Probablemente el mejor hotel de Ye”
Hotel moderno y bien situado. El personal de recepción, restaurante , etc muy amables y profesionales.. Al igual que muchos otros hoteles en Myanmar no dispone de ascensor, pero son pocos pisos de altura y además te ayudan con las maletas. El aire acondicionado era muy débil en la habitación y resultaba insuficiente para el calor que hacía. Al día siguiente pedí el cambio de habitación por este motivo. Accedieron al cambio y en esta segunda habitación, el aire acondicionado sí funcionaba correctamente. Me ayudaron a conseguir transporte para ir a la playa y también para ir a la estación de tren, informándome de las diferentes opciones y precios con tuktuk, moto-taxi, o taxi. Me hicieron de traductores ante los conductores que no hablaban apenas inglés. El desayuno estaba bien en calidad y variedad, con opciones asiáticas y europeas. Dependiendo de la ocupación del hotel, a veces se sirve en mesa y a veces es bufé libre.

Près du lac, ils sont très gentils. On peut y louer des scooters. Très bon restaurant avec un crabe massant curry très très très bon et il y en a pour 2. Et le prix très attractif de l'hôtel.
