From the outside the hotel can looks a bit old fashioned maybe, but then all the comfort is there. Large and clean room with air-con, the staff is very nice, breakfast included, and for the price, this turned to be a no-brainer to stay at the same place when we decided to extend our stay in Hpa-An. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Mosquitos at Midnight”
It was around midnight when the problems all began, There was an itching and buzzing on my face and hands. In restless sleep for many hours the peace was broken, Until finally I could no longer bear it and I was rudely awoken. I searched the room for the source of the unpleasant disturbance, A faulty mesh window covering that was of no service. Those who sleep here must do so at their own peril, Stuff a towel in the bathroom window or your sleep will be terrible.

Good to know that in the bathroom of your room clever mosquitos could find a small hole to get inside for their dinner. We will fix it. Location is great and everything super clean! Although staff is very friendly, I was disappointed not to be able to communicate better because of language barriers. They could not answer any of my questions I ended up asking in an other guest house. Also it was the more expensive night of my 18 days trip in Myanmar and the only time I did not have hot water. No windows in the bathroom which is open on the bedroom made the room quite noisy (maybe just because of Chinese New Years).

Very friendly owners and staff, good location just down the road from one of the best local eateries in town. Nice big rooms, clean, good place to meet other travellers. They also rent scooters to see the sights.

Pleasant and quiet accommodation”
Rooms are simple but clean, breakfast is good. We didn’t have terribly hot water there, but WiFi is better than a lot of places we’ve stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived on bicycles and they allowed us to keep them in our room, always a plus (we are careful to carry them, not roll them, in, and do not let them mark walls or floor). The building is new and there appears to be some plans for outdoor gardens. While it is on a main road, it’s set back and is pretty quiet and peaceful back there. The only noise was during the evening from a nearby sports facility or gymnasium, no honking or traffic at all.

Worst hostel we had in Myanmar. Door closed when we arrived at 1 am even noticing them of our late arrival. Room not cleaned 2 days in a raw despite asking for it and even giving the key to the reception... far away from city center and main interesting sight.

Hôtel sans intérêt et voleur”
Le check in est à 14h, jamais vu ça ailleurs... surtout qu'au myanmar les bus arrivent extrêmement tôt dans les villes. Chambre basique Grosse déception à la fin de notre séjour. Le personnel nous a couru après à cause d'une serviette jugée trop sale car elle était par terre car on aurait marché dessus! (Pour infos, on est obligé de laisser nos chaussures à l'entrée de l'hotel donc si on a marché dessus c'était pied nus ...) On nous a donc obligé à payer 3000 kyats pour une toute petite serviette. Sincèrement je trouve que c'est du vol ! Ça s'appelle voler la clientèle, il sudfisait de passer la serviette à l'eau pour enlever la poussière qui était dessus. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

Hôtel très confortable et propre, personnel aux petits soins ”
Le So Ko Ko Motel fait partie de ces établissements de qualité dont le personnel a à cœur d'offrir le meilleur service possible. A votre arrivée on porte votre sac, on vous offre une bouteille d'eau et un jus de fruit et tous les visages que vous croisez vous sourient. Les chambres sont grandes, les lits confortables et l'air conditionné très appréciable. Le seul bémol concernant notre chambre est le fait que la fenêtre de la salle de bain n'avait pas de vitre mais un simple grillage et comme il n'y avait pas de séparation totale avec la chambre, on entendait beaucoup les bruits du gymnase situé derrière le motel. Par ailleurs le rideau n'était pas du tout occultant. Bref, mieux vaut être muni de boules quies et d'un masque pour les yeux. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et bon. Vous avez trois options : fried rice et oeuf au plat, soupe nouilles au poisson ou toast et oeufs au plat avec confiture et beurre (sucré! du beurre sucré oui).

Hotel come da foto”
Hotel nuovo, pulito, wifi buono per lo standard. Staff gentile, il proprietario ci ha dato la camera e ci ha fatto il ceck in anticipato senza problemi anche se siamo arrivati alle 6 del mattino. Offre servizio di biglietteria e si puo'chiedere per un tour nei dintorni con tuk tuk, noleggia biciclette a 3500 . Non c'e' nulla che non va, le camere sono uguali alla foto ed e'il meno caro che abbiamo trovato ma il prezzo rispetto al resto della birmania e' un po'eccessivo considerando che siamo stati in camere molto piu'belle alla meta' del prezzo . Da rivedere la colazione che e' scarsa. Per il resto ok!
