The hotel has received multiple reviews praising the excellent and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is also great, with Tunjungan Plaza, famous Tunjungan street, Turi Market, and Gubeng station all nearby. The good and clean rooms offer a nice city view. Guests can enjoy the rooftop swimming pool and sky rooftop bar with a stunning view. The family room is spacious, with a refrigerator, sofa bed, and ample wardrobe space. I stayed here a year or two ago and on this recent visit noticed that the hotel is really in need of some repair. The white towels are grey, one had a huge hole in it, the bathroom has mould and generally there needs to be more attention to detail. My safety deposit box was not working on check in and staff promptly replaced it, with another that did not work...so I didn't bother complaining as it was late and I was tired. I used the swimming pool several times which I really enjoyed although staff need to pay more attention and clean the area surrounding the pool. On the Sunday afternoon I went to swim and there were food containers and several pairs of hotel slippers left around the area, with staff just walking past them. I had dinner in the roof top cafe twice and it was very good. The entertainment was excellent. Breakfast was basic but adequate. The rooms are not sound proof and Sunday and Monday night was very noisy at times with other guests being loud in the hallways slamming doors and with loud children. Great location. Great price but please pay attention to detail and keep the hotel in good repair before becomes very shabby. Having said that I would stay here again as the price and location are great.
My holiday in Surabaya for 3 nights at this hotel was very impressive and satisfying. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. From the time of check-in in the afternoon, my family and I did not go directly to the room because we had to go straight to a golf practice and a meeting at Pakuwon. I entrusted all my luggage to the receptionist until 12 midnight before checking into the room. Everything was safe as it was well-guarded by the hotel staff. I booked a family room; it was extraordinarily clean and fragrant, and I loved the towels, which smelled great. The breakfast was suitable for my family's palate. The location is very strategic, close to Tunjungan Plaza and souvenir shops. It's also easy to find food outside, just walk out through the side road of the hotel towards Genteng market, where there are many food options for midnight culinary. The swimming pool is nice and clean. The view from the rooftop at night is amazing. The only drawback of this hotel is the access to enter the hotel, as the slope is too steep when turning into the lobby. I ordered a taxi 5 times, but none wanted to go up to the lobby; the drivers were afraid it wouldn't make it up the hill. So I ended up getting out and walking down 😁 On my next trip, I will definitely come back here because this hotel and all its staff provided an extraordinary experience for me and my family. The check-in process was quick. Thankful for the free upgrade, probably because it was not peak season. The room was spacious but the walls need some cleaning. There were traces of slime and grease from where, I don't even want to know. Room service was excellent. The toilet needs some serious cleaning as grime was all over the bathroom sink. I tried the rawon in the restaurant on the 12th floor and it was OK. Overall, will recommend it.
Stayed for 2 nights at SRV during the school holiday, got a free room upgrade right at check-in. For that price in a big city, it’s worth it. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly. There’s a cafe and swimming pool on the rooftop; it’s not that big, but it’s decent enough for kids to play in the water. At night, you can hang out at the cafe while listening to live music and enjoying the city lights. For breakfast, the variety isn’t that extensive, but it tastes good.

A strategically located hotel in Surabaya, making access easy and in the middle of places for public facilities and culinary experiences. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service, atmosphere, facilities, cleanliness, room layout, lobby, restaurant, sky view with its restaurant and pool, welcome drink at the sky view restaurant, and two mineral water bottles, coffee, tea, creamer, and a functioning kettle. I liked the superior room type with a spacious area of 20 m2. + Room no. 11009 on the top floor is spacious, has a qibla direction marker, the AC functions well and is cold, clean, with a soft mattress and four large pillows, river view, complete amenities, and a shower and sink with hot water available, two thick and fragrant towels. - There is a support column/wall in the room that makes it feel a bit cramped, and the two trash bins have not been provided with plastic bags inside. - The TV is quite large, around 43 inches, but it has not been connected to the internet/YouTube, etc. Just a suggestion to replace the four pillows with two pillows and two bolsters, as the four big pillows take up too much space on the bed. + The breakfast menu is very varied, starting with three types of fruit appetizers, vegetable salad, three types of cold drinks, porridge, coffee/tea, toast, and main dishes with both animal and plant protein, vegetables, with around four variants of side dishes, all suitable to the taste. Plus the clean view of the restaurant, neat table and chair setting, and lots of plants make it cozy and add good mood for dining, connecting to the lobby is also nice, easy access with the elevator, and clean fragrant restrooms, complete with soap and functioning sinks. Overall, my stay experience at SRV was very impressive. Next time, I will be a regular guest when in Surabaya. Thank you, SRV.
