"Really beautiful and well-designed bungalows with stunning views. The setting at the foot of the mountain with views of the vineyards is wonderful. The huge windows and balcony make you feel like you’re right in the vineyards. The price is pretty steep but this is probably more a reflection of how overpriced high end accommodation is in Myanmar in general. One recommendation for people considering booking the luxury room: try to request the one in the stand-alone bungalow rather than the one that’s in the same building as the superior room. While both luxury rooms are the same price, the stand-alone one offers more privacy and better views."

"Stayed at the hotel for the Taunggyi fire ballon festival. OFf the beaten track so it's quiet but not much in the way of cab service, etc. You can walk to the fire balloon festival in about 30-40 mins. Wouldn't stay here for access to Taunggyi unless you want a bit of quiet. Staff were helpful."

"We came for the fire balloon festival and found it to be very easy to stay here. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. I am thankful that we were able to stay here. Our bus arrived at 5am and Royal Star allowed us to check in very early at 5am. This allowed us to get some much needed sleep before meeting Taunggyi friends for outside breakfast. We stayed 2 nights and they cleaned our room and provided new towels and soaps each night. "

"The weekend I was unfortunate enough to choose this hotel to stay for a business meeting in Taunggyi the hotel had a large group of young people to stay. They had a very loud outside disco on both Friday and Saturday nights and the group continued to celebrate noisily in their rooms. The restaurant served Orange soda and Coca-Cola for breakfast instead of fruit juice. My room was very expensive 140,000 Myanmar Kyat per night. There are much quieter and better value hotel options in Taunggyi which I will use in the future."
