Charming old world hotel”
We stayed in a second floor standard room with a shared bathroom. The room was spacious, comfortable, had high ceilings and faced the water. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the large verandah just outside our door. The hotel was peaceful, clean and comfortable with a welcoming and helpful staff. Old world charm, both in the design and staff uniforms/attentiveness. Most anything you would need/want to get to in Mawlamyine is a short moto ride away, but also within very reasonable walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, based on other reviews we had seen.

One of the best options in town”
Mawlamyine is seriously lacking in accommodation options. If you can't get a room at the Cinderella, I'd consider this to be the next best option. It's a bit farther from the main part of town (about 20 minutes walking) but it's a nice walk along the river or cheap motorcycle taxi ride. My room was huge, strong air conditioning, and I was satisfied with the western bathroom (at the time I was the only one using it). NO WIFI.

Unfriendly staff.”
Limited choice on breakfast. No Wifi. Staff are not helpful or maybe not knowledgeable about places of interest in Mawlamyine. Asked for info and gave a piece of laminated black and white map for you to read, can't communicate in English. Don't see smiling face in staff ! One of the cheaper option in town but don't expect too much.

It's 10 min. walk from downtown. Anyway you can find good restaurant very close and the one of the hotel is great too. good place to stay.

Hard to communicate when faced with indifference and language problems. ”
Reasonably priced if you don't mind sharing a bathroom. No local info available. Old place is rundown but has much more charm than a generic new hotel. Beautiful balcony on second floor of main building. Overstaffed but getting things done takes a long time. Seems to be a management problem. If you like old buildings with character and don't mind sharing a bath, give it a try (rooms with bath are overpriced.)

Old colonial building needs more maintenance”
This hotel transformed from old colonial office building with two floors, front of hotel face the lower Main road,facing Than lwin river .its high ceiling makes our stay more space but the walls are not soundproof,so we can here noises, talking of the other guests. Air conditoner noise makes our sleep a tragedy.shared toilets on the second floor need more maitenance.However, breakfast is very good.

Good basic hotel in quiet location”
We enjoyed staying here with friendly staff but rooms were a little old...like the town which was fiber as its a colonial location yet to experience the tourism craze! Enjoy your discoveries!

Pleasent room but need improvements”
The room itself and the beds were fine. Definitely room for improvement with cleaning in the bathroom. Not much atmosphere here at all but they were painting the hotel so maybe improvements and new standards are on its way. There are possibilities with the courtyard and restaurant/bar areas. It was pleasant enough to stay here, it's in the more quiet area close to the water, the fish market and the newly opened Ocean Center is just up the road. It's easy to walk to all areas of the city.

Oh the noise!”
The room was large, the bed was hard but okay. The problem was the noise from the temple across the road. Not the hotels fault but consider this before booking. The chanting started at 5pm on both days we stayed their and stopped about 10.30. The volume was so loud you needed to scream at one another to be heard. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, undercooked oily eggs and instant coffee. Over all the hotel was over priced and in a poor location, we moved to a newer place on the river, slightly higher tariff but much better value, location and a great buffet breakfast.

not the best”
i stayed there because Ngwe Moe hotel was fully booked , i payed 35 US $ for a room with private bath between the parking and the lobby, so you can hear the tv from the lobby untill midnight and the cars in the parking..rooms with shared bath one the first floor seemed a better value... better option to pay 7 US $ more for a room really better at the Ngwe Moe hotel if not fully booked!

Time at Than Lwin Hotel& Resturant”
The beds in first room offered were very hard. Breakfast was cold fried eggs. the beds in the first room offered were very hard. B/fst was cold fried eggs & toast, unless u could get the staff to understand u would like a Myanmang b/fst. English was hardly spoken. In the Junior Suite was a separate place & roomy on its own, but unfortunately the staff accommodation was right next door and very noisy.

Sufficient but overpriced”
The room was sufficient but it did not justify its status as 'suite'. The hotel is ~25min walk from the city 'hub' and does not have wi-fi. It was overpriced for the level of comfort and cleanliness but the staff were very helpful.

this hotel has high ceiling with 2 floors , share bathrooms at the back.it needs .ore cleanliness and maintenance. the airconditoner in Room 201 is dysfunction so we change to 204 .the wall is not soundproof.breakfast is very good with fried rice ,serving with fruits, hot coffee and orange juice.

Nice old colonial building but nothing more”
Booked a room with bathroom attached but staff refused to give us because they just looked on what we paid on Agoda and said a room with bathroom is usally more expensive. Had a 30 minutes discussion about this at the front desk but they just said they can't give for 26 $. Shared bathroom would have been just 20$ on Agoda, so we wasted 6$ for nothing.
