Worth it!”

As the name 80's, the decoration and theme of this accommodation is also like that. Coupled with the building which is indeed an old building makes this place so authentic, aesthetic and minimalist. Good wifi network. Toilets and showers are shared. More suitable for solo travelers or with friends. Not suitable for families. The location is also close to various cafes and other shops. And everything can be reached just by walking. Although it is located in the center of the bars at night, this hostel still feels comfortable and away from the noise.

What an experience”

Hotel’s staff are very friendly. They even help me arrange my itinerary (places and foods reccommendation). Thanks to them I had a good time in Penang. The hotel’s architecture is authentic building in George Town that makes my stay memorable and interesting. It is also located in the strategic place to explore George Town or even Penang (close to the Link Bike Station and Bus Stop).

The room is very clean and the staff, Bayu is by far the best all-rounder as he is able to suggest you the best place and the food you should go for. 100% recommend people to visit this hostel as you will not be disappointed.

Comfy Stay for a good night sleep”

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were ok. The overall cleanliness of the hostel were good too. Location is just walking distance with many bars and cafes. Its at the very end of the road so not much disturbance in terms of noise from nearby bars.

Time Capsule”

I grew up as a teenager in the 80's so am going to be very biased. The 80's Guesthouse attempt at being a time capsule of this era was nearly there but not quite. IMO many of the static displays veered more towards the 70's. But the building was as how I remember these shophouses had existed back in the day regardless of where they were in many towns in Malaysia. I can almost imagine the former tenants, a family perhaps, living in the place. The place has character. I like it.
