Great place right on the beach”
The facilities and amenities of the Akariz Resort were excellent and of international standard, especially considering that Chaung Thar is not often frequented by foreign travelers. We stayed in the one of the rooms in the main building block with a balcony overlooking the central gardens. It was clean and well-apportioned, however, the cabins looked particularly wonderful. Breakfast buffet was delicious and generous, and we ended up taking most of our meals in the hotel. The hotel opens up right to the beach, of course, but if you prefer not to swim in the ocean there is a nice pool overlooking the water as well. Finally, the staff were courteous and very helpful, even booking us a private taxi back to Yangon in time to catch a same-day flight; not an easy thing to round up in Chaung Thar on a weekend. Please note that power cuts out for a portion throughout the day, and the wifi is not very fast, but this is normal for Chaung Thar.

The Best Hotel at Chaung Thar Beach”
The staffs are so nice. I couldn't request early check-in as all rooms are full. but they provide a room to rest and the room also have beds. The breakfast is so good with various kinds of food including Myanmar traditional food and indian food. I will stay here if I visit Chaung Thar next time.

Chaung Tha ”
The Akariz Resort, is well placed on along the beach to access most attractions. The breakfast and food was excellent: definitely worth ordering. The pool area was also fantastic, with service being efficient and the staff very friendly and attentive. The rooms were well maintained and clean. My only 2 points negative are: no wifi available and the availability of hot water was rationed (I assume due to electricity constraints) to between 5-7pm. Overall a great experience. Paul

Excellent Location with a nice pool view that is almost lifted from a magazine. Room s are big and comfy also one of the few hotels in that region to offer aircon during mid day.

Great place!”
It's a modern building. We took a garden view and then switched to the beachfront view (which is incomparable, in my opinion). It can be very windy near the beach, but the view is, of course, fantastic. The rooms are very clean. Every day at 3 o'clock, the hotel offers local snacks (dishes) for the hotel guests on the 1st floor of their main building. I wouldn't hesitate to lodge there again in my next travels. :)

At first I was lost, the resort, don't even have a signage or logo yet. After I found the resort, the staff are so friendly and kind. And even the owner of this resort, he personally build this resort and manage it well. I am very much, like of this hotel, I had a good time during my business trip in ChaungTha Beach.

Nice relaxing stay”
Staff goes above and beyond to assist you. Breakfast buffet mainly local dishes with good variety. Bed was comfortable, room ckean. We were upgraded to a sea view room but actually preferred our garden view. Resort is still under construction so no dining facilities or bar. However there's restaurants at other resorts nearby. Pool is nice. Even though electricity is off from 6 am to 1 pm, it's not an inconvenience if you plan around it. Location is on the north end of the beach so less crowded and noisy. Facility has been renovated recently so most everything still "new". Chaung Tha beach is more low key where u will not find many foreigners.

Great hotel but not suitable yet for foreign tourists”
First of all, I want to inform you I stay during the low season (monsoon). Maybe things are different during high season. In general, the resort is a nice place to stay but the reception and breakfast room are not has finished yet. So for now it's doesn't feel a cozy place to relax. The staff was very friendly & helpfull anytime we needed. The only thing is that they don't speak English and don't really know about Western expectations. To conclude, the place is nice with the beautifull pool, but to be suitable for the foreign visitors, the staff need more training, construction needs to be finished in the common area, and electricity is needed in the morning for shower.

I heard it used to be a different named hotel which reopened with a new owner. The hotel was very clean, nice furniture, cozy bed, friendly staff, beer from the tap as well. The beach is right in front of you and the hotel has many showers where you can wash your sandy feet before getting to your room. Very nice place to sit back and enjoy the beach.

The staff were very helpful. The facilities were very nice and clean. The location was very quiet at the end of the beach away from where the large crowds were. We will definitely return to this hotel the next time we return to Chaung Thar.

This hotel is still under construction but when works are finished will be one of The best in The are for sure! Nice clean rooms, swimming pool And close to The Beach. Staff And his lovely manager will do their best to make you feel at home. Restaurant needs some improvement And wifi usually doesnt work in rooms

A good resort to stay”
Location, facilities and services are good even its still developing some new facilities. The only thing we think they might have to improve is staff's english ability. It took us about 20 mins to get tissues and toilet paper. Thats ridiculous!! We both think this resort has the potentials to be an international resort but they just have to improve the staffs capability.
