Very clean and good location”
Have no complaints. The room was so fresh and clean, probably the best during our two-week roadtrip here in the US. The location was great, plenty of restaurants and close to all cable car lines. There was also two parking garages one block from the hotel which was great since the hotel themselves does not offer any parking (quite expensive though, $42 for 24h, but all parking around central SF has the same pricing). There was a safe in the room and also liquid soap in a pump in the shower which was a huge plus for me! I was so tired of these damned bar sopes... On the less positive side, there was no refeigirator in the room, and not all rooms had a private bathroom with shower. Make sure to ask the hotel to get an on-suite, it does not cost extra. Furthermore, there was no AC only a roof fan. We stayed in SF late april so it was not too hot. If you are staying in the summertime I would perhaps book a hotel with an AC. One last tip is to request a room not facing the street.

Very close to Union Square and the Muni. Amenities are few, but who needs all that when you are out and about all day? Water pressure in shower is not the greatest and the front desk had a little trouble finding my reservation on the computer (don’t know if that’s the hotels fault or Agoda?) but they were very professional about it and did everything they could to resolve the issue. I would definitely go back if I were in the area again.

Good for value seekers; clean and good location”
Let's be clear--this isn't a 5-star hotel. It's bare bones, and that's why it's a value. But it's surprisingly clean, recently renovated, and the staff is friendly. Plus, the adjoining bar is good and offers guests a discount. Make sure you know if you are booking a room with/without a bathroom.

This place is for young people only. You get what you pay for. Very competitive rates for its location. Older people may not like the smell and cleanliness of the hotel. We loved our stay. Everything you need is a stone throw away when you leave the lobby. We will go back to this hotel.

We would stay here again. The location is great- close to lots of things. The hotel room was very clean and fresh and we enjoyed having breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed the decor, the old-style elevator, and the music in the hallways. The cleaning staff ladies were very sweet. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator either in the room or in the kitchen area on the 2nd floor. We "checked" a bag of groceries to be held in their basement fridge and our entire bag was stolen or disposed of. This was very disappointing, but they did give us a discount off our stay to compensate us, so that was appreciated. Parking just to unload the vehicle was an issue- we had to park in a 5 min loading zone around the corner- one of us had to haul the luggage while the other stayed in the car with the sleeping child. They had no luggage cart to offer. This was frustrating, but all in all our stay was nice and we liked the place.

Check in process needs massive improvement ”
Checked in on Wednesday. I had booked Wednesday and my wife had booked Thursday. Informed receptionist (clearly didn’t work here as she hadn’t a clue and more bothered being on her phone) Receptionist told us she had combined bookings. Go out the following day and start receiving emails saying we were going to be charged for not checking out on time. Had to call the reception to rectify. Total confusion. No apology having interrupted my day to deal with their short comings and lack of internal communication. Otherwise, rooms are small but clean. Hallways need work, carpet looks very dated. Wouldn’t bother with breakfast downstairs.

Unmanned reception, you need to go across the street to different hotel, in order to check-in, where you'll receive a room key and a main door key. You need to swipe you room key to get the elevator going, the reception area & elevator itself stank of urine (at least I think that's what it was...🤢), the room was tiny, no AC just a ceiling fan. If you can, spend a little more money and get a real hotel - this is no more than a glorified guesthouse, the great location by itself is not enough to redeem this place. Avoid if you can

Positives: Hotel is very easy to reach by Bart. Many shopping facilities. Is also very convenient to the city center. China Town, Farmers Market are very easy to reach by foot. Negativ: The Tenderloin District is not far away, As of June 2022 reception is not occupied, you have to go to the Standford Hotel for the check in.

at our room we could smell oil from fries fried in the restaurant in building, it was very intensive and we turned fan which made it much worse. i think if they want to keep this room they need to change these paper like windows that let this terrible odour get in rooms.

Tolle Lage, sauber aber mittelmäßiger Komfort ”
Alles in allem gutes Hotel, sauber & vor allem originell eingerichtet. Frühstück für $9 wirklich gut und Lage ist echt top. Das Bett war aber recht unbequem und eigentlich viel zu klein für 2 Personen.

하루 잠만 잘꺼라 여기로 예약했는데 물 쫄쫄 나와서 씻기도 힘들고 난방도 안되고 하필 너무 추운날이여서 덜덜 떨면서 잤음(따뜻한 물은 나옴) 오래됐고 낡았고 직원은 너무 사무적임.
