Semi-private Traveller”
I stayed in the female only semi private facilities. They were lovely. The facilities were cleaned every day and the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was with fellow travellers drying their hair at 1 am/2 am in the morning. The hostel anticipates noisy neighbours and provides ear plugs. I can’t fault the hostel. But if you worry about sleep, just be warned. It is a great place to stay.

A nice place to stay”
I stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm and didn't have a problem. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast options in the morning were delicious. No elevator, so I had to lug my heavy luggage up the stairs (or I would have, if a staff member didn't do it for me). The vibes in the place are nice.

Very near canal city and not too far from Tenjin. Room is bigger than I think, tidy and clean hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast. No parking but you can rent a parking slot at the building on the road behind hostel (opposite canal city shopping mall).

The staffs are nice, they allowed us for an early check-in and very polite. The room is well-equipped and bigger size than other hotels. Hotel area's clean. Anyway, there's no elevator, it might cause a problem for anyone who got a huge luggage. The location is within a walking distance from Hakata Station and a supermarket's just located next door.

Favourite Hostel in Japan”
The location is perfect, walking distance from Tenjin and the nightlife of Fukuoka, nearby bus station and subway connects you to everything else very easily. The cafe and bar downstairs, and the common room upstairs, are a great place to meet other travelers or locals if you are traveling solo. The whole hostel gets cleaned everyday so bathrooms and bedrooms are spotless, beds are comfortable and have a curtain for privacy. The rooms also have a locker you can use to store your small valuables in like passport, wallet or electronics. The staff here are easily the most fun people I’ve ever met. Always down to swap stories and provide recommendations. Can’t wait till the next time I’m in Fukuoka to visit Su, Anna, Pei Ying, Yuya, Keisuke, and the rest of my The LIFE Hostel and Bar friends! The best hostel!”
The newest and clean facilities, friendly staffs, great guests! Everything was perfect. The location was also great that it's possible to go Hakata, Tenjin, and Gion station on foot. The Canal City is right next to the hostel. I met a lot of nice friends there as well, which made my trip more special. If I go to Fukuoka next time, I will definitely stay in the Life hostel again!

Great for solo travelers”
Very pleased with my stay at this hostel for a weekend getaway. Located within the city center, it has quick access to a subway line connected to the airport (just a 5-7minute walk), has a 24/7 convenience store just right next to it, and is walking distance from Canal City Hakata. Especially great also for foreign tourists as the staff speak English fluently. Found the bar menu a bit pricey, but was expecting that from any ho(s)tel. Overall very satisfied and would book again if I ever come back to Fukuoka.

Good Place with Good People”
Location is great. Almost close to everything: hakata station, canal city, temples. Check-in time is at 4PM. It would be great if they would make it earlier. But anyways, you can leave your luggage and go around. Having a USB outlet in the bed is also recommended. Place is nice to rest and also good to meet other travelers specially the common area in the lounge. Grab a beer an chat with the others. Staffs are SUper friendly and SUper accommodating! Special mention to SU! SUgoi ne! Would definitely recommend to solo travellers. Never made the wrong choice when I decided to change hostel and stayed in THE LIFE! またね

Reasonable price (price breakdown) which 10-15 mins from Hakata station by feet Canal city is behind the hostel Shops and restaurants are nearby Standard dorm room The place is decorated as loft modern style Very spacious lounge and nice bar on the first floor No check-out procedure required The housekeeper is very submissive Toiletries are provide (towel is available for renting and slipper is sell as 200¥) Kitchen is nice but in front of the shower room. You need to remember the code for entering the room and get in separately after 10pm at the main door. Laundry is 300¥ Dryer machine is 100¥ Breakfast is 500¥ (All you can eat, bread, jam, cereal, milk and etc)
