Large rooms, amazing views, excellent location”
This is our second stay here. The reasons we booked again remains largely unchanged. In fact, one of the staff who helped us with the luggage recognized us :) What was great 1. The location right next to Nai Harn beach. Beautiful white sand beach with waves. 2. Nice touches - beach bag, beach towels and chairs with umbrella set up, kids bubble bath etc 3. The buffet at Cosmo restaurant was excellent. The staff at the restaurant offered excellent service. 4. Views from the rooms are spectacular. 5. Kind and helpful staff all around. The underwhelming aspects 1. The Rock Salt did not offer the same kind of service as Cosmo. It was not bad but not great either. 2. The food and drinks menu was overpriced and did not have enough variety. 3. Though Nai Harn beach is really nice, it was not as pristine as it was couple of years back.

This was my 1st trip to Phuket and Thailand, so I did decent online research based on which, zeroed down on starting the trip from The Nai Harn. None of my friends had been to this resort and their suggestions were different, so I took a leap of faith of sorts. And boy, I am so glad that I went with my gut feel and selected to stay here. This is as complete a resort as possible: 1. Checkin: was super smooth right from airport pickup to early check-in 3 hours prior to scheduled time. They also gave me a higher room as I has asked for. 2. Room: room in itself was as good as it gets - size, comfort, personal roof with a live-for view of the Andaman bay. I can stay in the room for days! 3. Nai Harn beach: as the name suggests, situated on the Southern part of the Phuket, it's a bit secluded and the location of the resort makes it feel like a personal beach. Very less crowded, good for your walks, sit downs, playing with the waves, snorkelling. Hotel provides all related stuff, complimentary. 4. Food: even though they don't have any Indian food options, which is the only gripe I have, their breakfast buffet was awesome. Their ala carte menu is also quite extensive and just loved their desserts. 5. Service: very hospitable & accomodating. 6. Location: we were surprised to see how close it was from the Promthep Cape, which is a view point delight. Just 5 mins from here, and we went there multiple times! All in all, it's as complete a package as possible and it doesn't cost you what other premium places do.

WHAT TO EXPECT: - Relatively smooth check in and check out process. - Attentive and helpful staff who will always greet you with a smile whatever time of the day. - Great dining experience at the Cosmo tho a bit pricier than surrounding food places. Try their tom yum goong and carbonara pasta. The peanut sauce that comes with their chicken satay is also delightful. - Superb breakfast selection! One of the best breakfast I've had in all hotels I've stayed in. They have everything from cold cuts to hummus! - Spacious rooms fitted with everything you need (e.g. shoe shine tools, insect repellant, masks, etc.) and overall great facilities - Location is quite far from the airport (approx 1 hour away) and town proper (approx 30 mins away). That said, the hotel guarantees privacy as it is in a secluded area. The beach is only a few steps away from the hotel. The area is perfect for families or those who want a quiet and restful getaway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back to The Nai Harn in the future. However: - Floors 7 and 8 are not serviced by the lift, so guests have to take the stairs up to these levels. - When we arrived, the room smells damp, pillows and blankets too. The sink is slightly clogged, tho this was quickly remedied when staff came to clean the room. TIP: If you find the food at Cosmo or Rock Salt to be expensive, there are food places just a short walk from the hotel overlooking the beach. They also have happy hour for 99 THB each drink.

Overall, a must-do experience. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. The Cosmo restaurant at the hotel had both Thai and Western dishes which was handy. The room was clean and the bed was sensational. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The bar there is situated nicely on the 2nd floor - overlooking Nai Harn beach, offering a relaxing atmosphere. My only gripe is that the bar shuts at 10pm... However, there are many bars outside of the hotel for those who'd prefer to have a few more after 10 pm. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!
