The hotel basically the top 3 in SunMoonLake area, however, I do suggest and hope the management should really focus on how to maintain and taking good care of the hotel. The room feel a bit old not just because of the design, material, also need enough people to keep it clean, new, fresh. It's my first time stay in the Wen Wan Resort, but I did stay in other resort in the same area few times. I have nothing to complain about the service, location, view, room size etc.. ALL Perfect! If the quality of the room itself can be improved, definitely recommend give Wen Wan a try.

I would say if you are looking forward to have a very cozy and decent vacay mode in sun moon lake doing nothing, this place is an A++++ for you . The individual spa with killer view is once of a life time experience you could ever have .

Building and room are wonderful, yet training of staff could be improved. We were given some mistaken information. Some lobby personnel was not able to offer us needed guide for sightseeing around. The hotel has excellent hardware, yet it's a pity their employees and protocols sometime do not show the professional quality equals to their facility.

the hotel is located at the best location in Riyue tan with breath taking view. The hotel is decorated with good taste and staff is friendly. One area that needs improvement is the swimming pool area in 12F, we visited the pool on Apr 16, we found the dead frog and leafs floating in the hot pool, we mentioned to the staff, he ignored us and continued to play his cell phone. In my view, the swimming pool is one of selling point of the hotel, this area should be well maintained, at least the staff should clean it before opening to the public.

The view from the room is just amazing. The room has a private small pool. The breakfast, however, is not so great. The location is within a walking distance from the town, but can be difficult walk for family with young children. There is a shuttle bus to the town that run every hour. In house dining is expensive.

Limited restaurant service to indivual guests just due to reception of some tenants groups is unacceptable and big mumus for such high rank resort hotel. Individual guests deserve same restaurants services as group guests do. The restaurnats service qualaity and level(more food option and local characteristic)could be improved to get equal to it's room level and reputation.

great pool with view during the day light. getting a room on the 3F with Garden but the front building blocked part of view. the buffet lunch for new year eve is disappointing in terms of food choices. the breakfast is better with more character. the hotel is sitting on top of a small hill, the shutle services to the bus stop is not frequent.

Absolutely waste of money”
Walked into the hotel at 5pm, without any staffs assisting me with my bags or showing me where to park my car. The entire lobby was absent of any staff to greet the guests. At the counter, was informed that I needed to “wait a while” before they finish cleaning up my room - which ended up took 50 minutes (check in time supposed to be 3pm) The entire hotel was so understaffed that they couldn’t finish cleaning the rooms on time, had to cut down hours of many facilities (ie swimming pool), and you needed to wait in line at the lobby to register hour complaint to the single staff working at the counter) Needless to say the room was a disappointment after I finally received my keys. Two tea cups only in a four-person room. Insufficient shower gels, and I found a bug on my bed. The entire experience was simply appalling. For those of you seeking a vaca near sun moon lake I’d suggest go straight next door to Lalu. DO NOT waste your time & money on this abomination.

When I first checked in, there was no one by the door, then I walked to front desk, the person was busy on the phone and kept taking on the phone and kind of ignored me. When I asked to check out a little late around 12:00pm and was told there is no way for me to extend one hour because they were fully book without even try to help. I have been to so many 5 stars hotels around the world most of them are able to let me check out around 1:00 or 2:00pm some at 4:00pm. So overall I am disappointed about the hotel so would not come back or recommend to other people.

Lots to be improved for that cost”
Staff are friendly and the view is wonderful, but that is about it. The bed is comfy but many hardware malfunction (curtain/blinds, fridge, inner door, radio, none of them function properly) The quality of the meals are far away from the 5 stars hotel standard. TBH, I was disappointed.
