This is the best hotel in San Francisco. For sight seeing, it is in front of Union Square where pick up happens for all tours. The cable cars passes right by the front door. You can run to the wharf for 3k and back. It is just 10-12minutes walk to Moscone Convention Center. It is in the shopping district of San Francisco. You have the best choice of restaurants around. Most of all, it has best staff. At breakfast in the Oak Room, Uyen will keep your cup full and your toast to the T. The fruits were always fresh. The pastries and bread were delicious. The housekeeping staff was awesome. And John, at the bell service was so helpful with my huge bags. I had no trouble all the way. Andrea at the front desk was of great help in my booking. And I find the staff at the Fed-ex mail service really patient and of great assistance.Thank you. I had a great time in St Francis and at San Francisco. Is that the only elevator in the world that is like that?

Nice Rooms and Location”
Parking is $80/night which is ridiculous. They don't provide hair conditioner, just shampoo. Nice soap. The cleaning crew took out all of our drinking glasses one evening, and didn't replace them. Yet, they left two dirty wine glasses outside of our room for at least 4 days. They were there when we arrived!

Enjoyable stay at Westin St Francis”
No fuss for checkin as it was good. Love the location & the safe surrounding areas. Love that transportations were easy & shoppings are within walking distance especially to Macy’s which is across the street and also to Market Street which is 15 mins walk away. Westin St Francis is a great hotel centrally located and easily to get around with lot of shopping. Double bad room is big and clean with new carpet just less than 12 months.

Great location, not up to standard service of star hotel”
I was staying 2 night, adding one night (three nights booked through agoda) and adding 7 nights, just because I do not like the hassle of changing hotel. One of the staffs, Mr. Fazal was certainly rude and was not very helpful when I need to extend my staying using agoda booking and seemed undermine this reservation, thus my booking direct at Marriot Bonvoy for the next 7 days so that I could be helped properly to continue my stay. I love agoda. It has been great so far. But, it does not seemed to be welcome, the 3rd party ,booking at Westin, St. Francis, Union Squre, or maybe only that particular staff who certainly needs more training. It does not have room service all day, only breakfast. The complimentary bottled water needs to be requested every day. But the towel and bed sheet are very clean and comfy. Location is great! Just the service is not up to star standard.

In the heart”
The hotel is in (one of the) heart(s) of SF. It is a luxurious turn of the century building with a large modern addition. Everything is smooth and fine, occasionally even elegant. But, one can not help, it is a large industrial machine swallowing and releasing hundreds of guests per day, so not ime and energy is left for a personal touch. That nothwistanding it is a pleasant place - just do not try to rent a car from the local office, as they charge exorbitantly compared to street, and especially to online price

Great location. Room was exactly what I expected. Drawback- if you want to eat it's either preprepared cafeteria food or brunch on the weekend. You need to leave the hotel to eat anything else unless you want to pay for room service.

Great location, need much improvement on the service”
The location is great. Within walking distance to the cable car, muni and BART if you need transportation. But the service of the hotel is not very good. Some receptionists are very quick and professional. But some needs more training. No room service, except breakfast. The rooms are clean.
