"Loved my stay at Huong Giang Resort! After days of dreary weather, a sunny breakthrough on the lovely, lazy Perfume River whose shores the hotel is perched on, I had a reprieve from previous mediocre travels in North Vietnam. The setting and attentiveness of staff at this resort added to the enjoyment of Hue and its surroundings. The facilities were superior, closer to 5 star than its 4 star rating. The hotel concierge and tour agency clerks treated me with family friendliness and made me feel relaxed and welcomed. Even the bartender showed genuine interest and attentiveness to his customers needs. I will definitely try to return on a future trip."

"This resort is an absolute must. Everything was perfect. The Staff is extremely friendly and always looking after you. The little houses on the hill are absolutely amazing and have an awesome view. I highly recommend your stay here. They also offer lots of complimentary acessories like an airport pickup, boating, foot massage, fishing, and so much more I cant even remember. It is about 15 minutes by motorcycle from Hue city center but is totally worth it. If you want a calm and serene stay to get away from the city noise and hussle this is the place for you. Also, the staff crew is sincerely always doing their best to foster you and keep you comfortable"

"You will not go wrong by taking a few days out of a hectic travel / tour schedule to put your feet up on the beach here. Literally on the beach, the staff and facilities here are exceptional. We ate lunch and breakfast and the food was fantastic. The beach bar offers a low-key place to eat or drink. The absolute best part was the amazing sunrise. The only thing to understand is this location is about a 35 minute drive from Hue. If being in the middle of the action is important, come to the Beach Bar for the day. However, I'd recommend a couple nights in a bungalow to unwind."

"The staff are most attentive to help and making our stay as comfortable and special as possible, nothing is too much for them. The pool and the garden area offered the most tranquil and restful moment. The design of the whole place is full of character and create the wonderful peaceful ambient as if we were back in time. The bed and linen are so comfortable. Cannot praise enough for this place, if I do come back to hue, I’ll definitely stay here again. "

"La Residence Hotel in Hue is simply stunning. The Gardens are beautiful as are the rooms. We had a pool /river view double room with balcony. The bed and pillows were heavenly. Wifi in rooms worked well. The staff always had a smile and were eager to help and do what they could to make you more comfortable and make the most of your stay in Hue. They quickly organized tours, golfing and cooking classes...all of which were superb! We preferred dining outside as the main restaurant at night la Parfum was simply too 'fussy' for our tastes. The spa had great staff and was very relaxing. Overall I really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend La Residence as nothing ever seemed too much for the staff! My only complaint..as always in Vietnam is that in a country that exports coffee why on earth does a 5 star hotel leave cheap nescafe sachets in your room? A plunger would be preferred or single serve nespresso!"

"A nice hotel placed in the countryside of Hue. Hue is receivable by taxi. The was really nice, but we had a lot of ants in our room. The balcony we didn't use because of mosquitos. The walking path was filled with huge snails. The staff and the service were really good. "

"This was a wonderful surprise. After living in country for two years, this is a great oasis in the middle of everyday Vietnam. Quite some distance from Quang Tri or Hue, so choose your taxi wisely. English is spoken during day time working hours, but all of the staff from security to the maids, were willing to give it a try. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Extra towels, free rides on the zip line, and letting us stay over while we waited on our taxi back to Hue. We got a flash deal from Agoda, as there were very few people staying there. I was the only "foreigner" and it appears from the number of day visitors that this is usually locals only. The grounds are very well maintained and very large. If all of the rooms were full, there is still enough space to never feel crowded. The rooms were very clean, modern, and all of the facilities were well maintained. Breakfast was strictly Vietnamese, but there was an American menu from which to order. Service was exceptional. We did not use the spa or massage but the various hot springs and pools were great to relax in. The weather was perfect as well. My wife tried the zip line with me, which was quite a shock. The only complaint is that even though they advertise bicycles for rent, they don't. We really needed to get out and buy some items at a store, as there is no place on site to buy toothpaste, phone cards, or even a candy bar. We look forward to visiting again over Christmas. We were really impressed with the beauty and peacefulness of the grounds. This is a great place to chill out for a few days."
