I was unexpectantly in Da Nang for over a week and had the chance to check out a few other hostels & hotels in the area. Travellers Nest is by far the best option if you want to have a very pleasant place to call home during your time here. The only con is that the location is a little ways from the beach in comparison to the many other accommodations. However, the Pros of Travellers Nest definitely outway this 1 mere Con .. especially when you start to get comfortable with riding a motorbike/scooter (took me about a day or 2 to work up the confidence to drive in the slightly hectic traffic but was a piece of cake especially when you use a ‘caution-first’ approach and common sense.) The motorbike rentals are also slightly cheaper at T-Nest than the other places near the beach. You also can’t beat the breakfast here.. Soooo good — Especially when you are craving a good old bowl of cereal! The beds are nice, pillows are good, the place is very clean, and the staff is AMAZING. 5/5 stars

My bf and I booked a regular double room at Traveller’s Nest, but since the loveliest balcony room was empty, they put us in there for the night! So sweet! The room was gorgeous, the balcony was awesome and let such wonderful light into the room. The shower was nice and warm and came with some toiletries. Breakfast was included and it was delicious! You get to choose from Vietnamese and western options—it was hard to pick just one. Common areas were pleasant and relaxing though we didn’t spend much time in them because we rented a motorbike for the day (actually for only 6/hrs but at a reduced price of 80K, it’s 120K for all day but we appreciated the shorter term option!). From the hostel it was 1-1.5 hours to Hai Van pass, a stunning drive. The location is great for the beach, only a 15 min walk. Loved the area in general—it felt very local. Billiards halls up and down the street, lots of cheap eats and restaurants with big TVs playing popular Vietnamese shows, convenience stores, and some of the best tacos we’ve had all trip—gotta check out Taco NGON just around the corner. Thanks to the staff for welcoming us and helping us arrange a grab taxi to the airport! See you again next time we’re in Da Nang!

Accommodating and hospitable! ”
The first thing that gave a good impression on me about this hostel was the staff. They are so friendly and accommodating that you can easily feel yourself at home. They are very good in English so if ever you would need help they will be there to assist you easily. The price is right for the comfort you’ll get here. My favorite spot was their rooftop, you can go chill and relax while enjoying the night breeze, which was what I did. Pretty much had the entire place to myself, got lucky almost all the tourists that night went clubbing I guess. They aren’t that far to the tourists spots in the city too, very accessible location. They serve very good breakfast, the place is neat and clean and they take initiative to whatever will make your wandering around easier. So in general, this hostel in Da Nang is surely a good deal for any traveller. I will surely comeback.

First off, we booked the dorm room for 7days and then we went to Hoi An for a couple of days and booked the private room for another 4days. We were beyond satisfied and grateful to this amazing place/hostel. We always enjoyed the free breakfast, served to us with a smile. All of the staff are so helpful when it comes with places/transportation/money changer/restaurants in Da Nang. Clean, comfortable and home-like hostel”
After traveling in Vietnam for two weeks, this was the best hostel I stayed at hands down. It is not rated at 9.7 for no reason. Lin, the hostel owner, have a vast amount of experience traveling herself and put that knowledge to use at Travellers Nest. The bed is very spacious, clean and comfy. What is even better is the living space. The common lounge is very convenient to meet other travelers and the dining space is a snug space where you can easily chat with Lin and her staff while they work away. Lin, Sam, Thuc and all her staff spoke good English and are always happy to talk about Vietnamese culture. I ran into quite a few problems in Vietnam and Lin was always there to help even after I left the hostel. If you are solo traveling and feel uneasy, this is a place that will certainly help you through it. Will certainly go back!

Hello travelers, My sister and I have stayed in this wonderful hostel for a few days and we LOVED it! Really. This place is so nicely decorated, so tastefully furnished and so caringly operated ... You will really feel at home there. We have stayed in the mixed dorm which really amazed us. I have been traveling a bit longer than my sister before so I have stayed in many different hostels. But this one ... Wow! - huge bed with a nice mattress - safety box mounted above your bed (unfortunately I could not fit my 17" laptop in it) - a little wooden shelf - roller blinds which allow you to create quite some privacy - very clean and quite new - yummy breakfast, prepared with love and even served on the roof top What we loved about this hostel the most though was the overwhelmingly nice staff!! They make you feel so comfortable there, answer all your questions with a smile and help you wherever they can. Even just sitting in the cozy little entrance area, listening to the well chosen, relaxing music, having a coffee will make you feel so GOOD! :) I felt like hugging these guys all the time! :D The only little downside which is definitely not the management's fault where the noisy Chinese. 😳 Sorry to say that but they acted like they own the dorm and as if they were staying there all alone. Talking very loudly in the middle of the night ... Very annoying. There is a note in several languages (also Chinese) on the wall inside the dorm telling everyone to be considerate of each other. But they still did not care. However, my sister and me enjoyed staying at this place sooooo much! Dear staff and management, keep up the great work you're doing there! Exceptional”
Travellers Nest is a good budget choice in Danang. South of the main tourist beach area, it is quieter and more relaxed. Five minute walk to the local surf. The pods have extra large beds, with built-in power, light and desk. There is a decent sized valuables lock-up and a rack underneath for your luggage. There is a privacy blind as well. Aircon is good. A rarity in Vietnam hostels, there is also a lounge area for meeting other guests Breakfast is good (order the night before. The only negative is the share bathroom which has no natural ventilation (blocked by surrounding buildings). The combined toilet/shower stalls get wet and cannot dry properly. That's why other reviews mention mould. The have put a fan in there, but it is of limited use. Toilet paper can be scarce (and wet). Still a very good budget choice with friendly, helpful staff.

True gem of Da Nang”
Except for the not-so-ideal location, everything else is too good to be true. I paid less than what you got: free superb breakfast (best and biggest breakfast I've ever had at a hostel/hotel), adorable staff, giant bed with curtain (also the largest bunk bed I've ever got), unlimited water refills, free toiletries... Just WOW! This hostel is a reflection of how lovely Da Nang City is - a city which foreign travelers tend to pass by and head to Hoi An/Hue but for me it's a rare gem of Vietnam.

Great hostel. Super nice hosts”
Loved our time at travellers nests. The rooms were very clean and the hosts were so nice, they told us how to get the cheap local bus to Hoi An (bus stop just a 10 minute walk away). Due to a computer error our private room was double booked on the second night but they were so professional, they emailed me days before we arrived and offered us a full refund or a free night in the dorm which we were very grateful for. The dorms were actually amazing. The beds were pretty much as big as a double bed with a curtain that gives you full privacy and a shelf/power/locker in your cosy little nook. We were very comfortable there. Hostel is an easy walk to the beach but you need a taxi to the city or train station. Good breakfast each morning and if you follow their map to the 'street cuisine' you'll find the best nem lui and Bahn xeo.

A Comfortable, Cozy and Nice Hostel”
This is my first time get into a hostel in Da Nang, staffs are really nice since they will help u when u have any problem. First day, i want to go a traditional market so that the staff use her motorcycle pick me to there, what a nice experience. The bed is big like a double bed. The hostel also have a balcony u can drink beer and talk with other visitors, its great! One more thing, the breakfast is perfect, u can choose one that u want from around 10 kinds. I will come here again if i visit Vietnam again. ❤️❤️

Gem in Danang”
We stayed two nights at Travellers' Nest. The staff were brilliant - they were friendly (good English) and helpful at suggesting places to go. Breakfast was amazing! Our room was simple, but tidy and uncluttered (and still very new), and good value for money. Location was a bit far from town for walking, but walking distance to the beach and lots of places to eat. And to get to town was only a quick motorbike ride away (which we rented from Travellers Nest). We would definitely stay here again if we came to Danang

I have stayed here nearly two months for both working and travelling. The best here is very kind , friendly staff. They help traveller feel comfortable and easy to go anywhere in Da Nang city, Hoi An Village. The rooms are clean, utilities are good...especially the price is very economical. Staff can speak both English and Chinese well...5 star!

There is a local market nearby which worth of spending time. Many local food stalls around the hostel too. Near the beach and some places for drink ... It is a bit distance from the city centre, take a motorcycle to travel around in Da Nang is great fun. The hostel can arrange for you. Staff are friendly but not so informative as in introducing their home to tourist.

the bed in dorm is so comfotble and private. everything here is very clean. the breakfast is so fantastic. i love it. the staffs here are so nice. they can help you whenever you need. when you come here they show you everything in da nang. they help you make a plan for your trip. they are so helpful. at night you can go to the roof top garden to be relax. it is so beautiful. you can smoke and drink there. i love this hostel

Tucked away but worth it”
This is a smaller hostel a bit aways from the main part of the city , but I actually preferred being closer to the beach side of Da Nang. The loveliest staff, HUGE bed areas and a really nice rooftop terrace. It's also right around the corner from a local produce market (grabbed fresh fruit + veg there super cheaply every day, a travelling godsend). Also- free water to refill from, which I've found rare in Vietnam. Really recommend!

The hostel is a good choice for travellers who want to enjoy Da Nang trip. Near beach and city centre, not to far from the Int'l airport. Especially, staffs is very friendly and helpful. In conclusion, this is worthy place for travellers, packbackers. Must try!
