The best place in Phnom Penh👌”
Probably the best dorm deal we ever had! It’s basicly a brand new, private apartment, with bathroom, a kitchen, big corner balcony and some bunk beads! Very hard to find, so make sure you have wifi and call the owner first. By the way Vibol - the owner is a great guy and will help you with everything and drop some knowlage about Phnom Penh If you ask him ;)

So Good I stayed for Longer”
Hostel is a converted apartment and quite quiet at the moment, so feel like you have your own apartment in the centre of Phnom Penh with a balcony overlooking the city. Owner is super friendly and nice and the security at the hostel is state of the art with finger scanner to enter!!! Great shower and a million food options in the area, and all of this and still the cheapest hostel in Phnom Penh! Would stay again!!

Nice small hostel in the middle of the night scene. Look at all the pictures before going because is rather difficult to find: it's on the 3° floor up the corner of Madame Butterfly pub. Vibol, the owner, is a friendly guy ready to help you with what you need. Highly recommended!

Cheap and small”
For $3 a night I didn't expect much and I didn't get much. The wifi worked well, there was running water in the one small bathroom, and I had a bed. The bed was not comfortable and it wasn't really in a room. It was in the entry way before the room so there was no door or privacy at all. Very close to the riverfront but can be a little tricky to find, especially if your tuk-tuk driver takes you to the other Happy House that is more famous.

Ok for a few nights”
Central location next to a popular restaurant and pub street. Not really noisy at night. The major minus is the very humid and warm common room where the beds are also located. There are a few fans in the roof and a mobile one on the floor, but it doesnt really help much. Its like a humid sauna. Finding the place is easy using the photos in agoda. Reaching the owner, on the other hand, isnt. There is a whatsapp number on the wall outside, but he did noy reply. I was only lucky that there were other people already there. I would come back later if AC will be installed

Favorite month of 5 month Travels”
So many things I liked about this specific hostel. First and foremost is the people I've met there. Because of the small size of the hostel it felt like we were a little family than random strangers. The owner seemed to always come by with bananas, cakes, or even a full Chinese meal with chicken and fruit to give to his guests. He really cultivated a friendly atmosphere talking with all the guests about any questions or tourist things they might want to see or where to find cheap meals and so forth. One of my favorite things was the bakery 150 feet away. It made warm fresh bread everyday and only for 800 riel or at 9 pm everyday they sell everything out for 50% off. Also, there's a market 100 feet away where you can buy fresh produce. I was able to live spending less than 4$ American on food per day. Another thing I miss is the balcony, first thing in the morning, going out and enjoying the cool breeze from the river. The river is only 200 feet away and it made the air quality fresh.

Nice place but very loud”
Situated on the 3rd floor in the strict centre, very loud all night long so if you have a problem with sleep don't come here. It's nice flat with few bunk beds, kitchen and balcony. At this price is ok :) WARNING! I couldn't found this place on my arrival because I used maps.me and there is a wrong address, the only good address is in Agoda!

Filthy, dirty and disgusting place DO NOT GO HERE”
I have been traveling around the world for a few years, and I have to say that Vibol Happy House is one of the worst place where i have been staying (only for 1 night), I needed a cheap place so i could plan my trip in Cambodia, and 1 night was already way too much. Nothing is clean, butts of cigarets evrywhere on the ground, cans of soda everywhere on the ground, a rotten towel on the ground in the bathroom. The bead sheets were, well not clean at all, ants everywhere in the room i stayed. The peoples already living in here just want to be left alone, and make things so you don't want to stay. Anyway just don't even try to book here and even if it's cheap i don't think it's worth it. If the owner of the appartment is reading this, you should put everyone out and deep clean everything because in one year your appartment will be dead, rotten and unrentable. Colin S.

tiny dorm,kind staff,cheap but fair condition”
It is quite fair to stay in a tiny dorm with a shared bathroom and toilet in such a cheap price. But you can't expect more than it costs. The toilet and washing place is not in a good condition. There is only one toilet in the guesthouse amd you need to have bathing inside this tiny toilet. The beds are acceptably clean. You can watch DVD in the lobby. One inconvenient thing is that the dorm is locked until the staff wakes up in the morning. When I woke up at 7am, the door was locked and I needed to wait until 7:30am. If you plan to go out in early morning, you need to tell the staff. The location is quite close to the market and to the river.

Its an dorm stle place it was great for an couple days but I'm am an older gentleman and need my solitude some times the good thing it is mixed gender do you get to look at pretty ladies while your their but don't base your travel on the ladies the nightlife is great if you like the type of bar with bargirls i won't give them lady drinks or bar fine them but I think it'd OK for other westerners but I'm an little but different when it comes to that

Never met the staff”
I didn't meet the manager the entire two days of my stay. Therefore I never got my finger print scanned into the door key system and always had to knock on the door and hope there is someone inside... This isn't really a hostel, it's an apartment turned into a dorm room. After reading the reviews saying it's the wrong address on maps.me and checking the pictures I didn't find it difficult to get there and find it. It was not really clean, but the location was alright and it's a cheap place to stay.
