Pros: a) W's Lounge in Chungking Mansion is great and nice location within Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) area. It's accessible along MTR TST station and also in Bus A21. b) Accessible also to TST malls, boutiques, and foods/restaurants nearby. c) Accessible in walking to Avenue of Stars, TST Promenade, and Victoria Harbour to watch Symphony of Lights. d) Hostel gives us free towel, and tissue. Daily housekeeping keeps our room tidy and clean. The housekeeper is Pinoy so it's easy to communicate and ask for any concerns. e) The hostel allowed us to check-in early around 1PM though its standard check-in is 2PM. Also, they allowed us to put our luggage after we check-out 11AM since our flight back to Manila is around 9:35PM. Cons: a) We booked 2 Deluxe Family room which is good for 4 pax per room. However, since we are only 6 pax (3 siblings, a mother, a nephew, and me), we separate per room into 3 pax to accommodate more space since the room is not spacious. b) Our room is in 17th floor which is the last floor in Block A. The hostel is only up to 16th floor, and we take stairs going to 17th floor. c) The hostel has 2 elevators only. One elevator for odd floors (1, 3, 5, etc) and another elevator for even floors (2, 4, 6, etc). thus, it took a while to queue in getting up/down the hostel. d) My mom's room have TV, but it is not working. For our room, the shower has leaking part when you're taking a bath or using it for toilet. e) Flushing of toilet water is hard since you need to wait more minutes (i think 5-10 minutes again to full the water in the toilet tank) and we are on the 17th floor. Overall, it's nice and comfy hostel. We love to get back and booked again in the future HK trips.
