The staff was very friendly and helpful and there was music in the evenings. The breakfast was wonderful because it was more than just pastries. It was nice to order a breakfast of real eggs, bacon, toast, etc. I’ve slept in better beds but it was a quaint and nostalgic bed-and-breakfast.

the estate is very big therefore you can end up anywhere, the pictures they show are deceiving, as they are not even close to our accommodation. we were expecting a shared apartment (as advertised) but our room was in a dorm-like corridor withouth anything even remotely remembering an apartment also, NO WIFI even in common area, and one only towel was provided despite ...

This was my parents first time in the UK and they were nervous about a lot of things. This apartment was a very comfortable place to plan out our days and return to after a long day of site seeing. The location is great (about 10-minute walk to Grassmarket) and the apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend this place.
