It was in November 2016 that I stayed at this inn. I arrived at the Nyaung Shwe bus stand in the wee hours and the hotel owner picked me up with his car for free. It was totally unexpected. I got a room all to myself with two single beds even though I booked for a bed only. Thus it all depends on your chance and you can get lucky like me. Also, I had a very interesting conversation with the little girl at the inn who is managing the guest entry. Overall, this is a really cool place for budget-minded backpackers like me.
Staff/family are really lovely and helpful, great to chat to. A 15 minute-ish walk from the main part of town, but not too much of a problem. Breakfast was nice. They're obviously a bit squeezed for space and tried to get 4 people in what should have been a two person room - i.e pushed two beds together to make a double bed (for three!) and had a mattress on the floor...I was quite happy on my mattress on the floor, and the place is cheap, but maybe not ideal for a lot of people...!
Staff was really nice, fruits, bread and egg for breakfast. Hostel is under construction at the moment, but when it is ready i think it is going to be a really good place!
Air was quite moldy and wind was sometimes bringing feces smells. I don't feel our towels were clean, nor the bed or the bathroom floor. They added a mat floor so we could be three in a room and it was quite cheap.. but it's far from the main stuff.

“Nice people ”
The people here are so incredibly nice! We arrived on a night bus at 5 am, they let us check in early, no extra charge. Unfortunately there was no toilet paper or garbage can. The location was nice, it was pretty close to the river and market, making it an easy walk away. The owners also let us stay late and check out way later than normal so that we didn't have to carry our heavy backpacks around until our night bus came.
